We report a case in which a thoracoabdominal aneurysm was present in association with previously unknown critical spinal canal stenosis. In spite of using left heart bypass, systemic hypothermia, and controlled cerebrospinal fluid drainage for spinal cord protection, the patient developed paraplegia following aortic aneurysm repair. Computed tomography scan revealed critical stenosis of the spinal canal that was thought to be sufficient to produce spinal cord compression syndromes including paraplegia.

Sweet potato has been chosen as one of NASA's crops to support human beings in future space missions. One of the possible uses is to make syrup that can be used as a general sweetener. In this work a simple engineering system for converting sweet potato starch into glucose syrup was studied on a laboratory scale.

The fish were stored in polyethylene bags, polyethylene bags with desiccant, the traditional oven storage, modified storage structure, and freezer (control) storage. Okra had the highest aerobic count of 42 × 10, followed by kokone 16-20 × 10, smoke dried herrings 0.2-4 × 10, salt dried tilapia 3-4 × 10, salt dried trigger fish 3- 44 × 10 and gari 3-34 × 10.
