The ethical problem comes with embryonic stem cells since their genesis involves the destruction of a human embryo. Since the introduction and widespread use of extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (SWL), various complications have been noted. Perinephric hematoma and ureteral obstruction may be anticipated by urologists as potential problems. We report the first case of perinephric abscess encountered after 17 895 SWL treatments at our institution.

Tuberculosis can involve the genitourinary tract and may be the sole manifestation of this disease. We herein report a case of tuberculous epididymo-orchitis. Based on our experience and a review of the literature, we feel prompt management and heightened awareness of those patients most prone to genitourinary tuberculosis is necessary with the increasing incidence of this disease.
