Propofol-related infusion syndrome (PRIS) is an uncommon complication resulting from prolonged propofol use. Common clinical presentations include metabolic acidosis, cardiac arrhythmias, and renal complications. The mortality rate is high if it is not recognized in time.

The mechanism is poorly understood at this time but could be related to ongoing ischemia. The use of a Regadenoson with the subsequent occurrence of LBBB could be a predictor of coronary artery disease or conduction abnormalities and should be understood by the physician to diagnose and risk stratify patients undergoing myocardial perfusion imaging properly.

This phenomenon, known as Faraday instability, is now well understood for viscous fluids but surprisingly eluded any theoretical explanation for soft solids. Here, we characterize Faraday waves in soft incompressible slabs using the Floquet theory to study the onset of harmonic and subharmonic resonance eigenmodes.

However, concerns exist about the accuracy of this data because most HRAs have low response rates. We evaluated these concerns by examining the prevalences and work impairments associated with chronic conditions across four HRA subsamples that differed in intensity of recruitment effort.

The critical incident stress debriefing (CISD) is a tool designed to relieve and prevent event-related stress. The author focuses on the use of CISD to assist victims of smaller traumas, such as assault, bomb threats, and severe turbulence, and shares the results of an American Airlines CIS program for flight attendants.
