Vertebral artery injuries account for approximately 19% of cerebral vascular injuries and are typically managed conservatively. However, some patients require operative intervention to gain control of an active hemorrhage, either via surgical ligation or endovascular intervention. We present a case of iatrogenic vertebral artery injury occurring during cervical spine surgery which was treated emergently with a self-expanding covered stent.

As healthcare systems evolve in the face of COVID-19, the use of telehealth platforms has expanded. We presented the results of a large survey of patient perspectives on the role of telehealth in the care of spine clinic patients.

How effective these lower doses are for fusion enhancement remains unclear.
Objective: To assess fusion rates using relatively low-dose rhBMP-2 for ASD surgery.

Objectives: Surgical treatment of odontoid fractures is recommended by many surgeons to prevent sudden neurologic injury or progressive myelopathy. Less aggressive approach to the treatment of odontoid fractures has been advocated by some authors especially in the elderly population. Very few reports have followed up patients' outcomes following conservative treatment of odontoid fractures.

However, the relationship between tobacco use and outcome after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is not as well understood and published results are contradictory. The purpose of this study is to examine the degree to which the amount of tobacco exposure/dose impacts delayed neurological deterioration and overall clinical outcome after aneurysmal SAH.
