Background: Benign prostatic enlargement (BPE) may obstruct the urethra, reduce urine flow, and cause Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS). Patients with LUTS can be evaluated with the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) and uroflowmetry for diagnosis, treatment selection, and monitoring.
