Objective: To identify trends in complications following robot-assisted radical cystectomy (RARC) using a multi-institutional database, the International Robotic Cystectomy Consortium (IRCC).

Methods: A retrospective review of the IRCC database was performed (2976 patients, 26 institutions from 11 countries). Postoperative complications were categorized as overall or high grade (≥ Clavien Dindo III) and were further categorized based on type/organ site.

Background: While blunt extra-peritoneal bladder injury is typically treated non-operatively or with minimally invasive management, the treatment for penetrating bladder injury is generally open surgery. We identify a group of patients with penetrating bladder injury who were treated with minimally invasive management and compare the results with those who underwent traditional open surgical treatment.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study analyzes penetrating bladder injuries from a single trauma center from 2012 through 2019, and from the National Trauma Data Bank for 2016 and 2017.

Unlabelled: No predictors of a complete pathologic response (pT0) to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in muscle-invasive bladder carcinoma have been established. We performed a retrospective analysis of 50 patients to identify potential predictors. Our results showed that the presence of additional transitional cell variants on pathologic examination (mixed tumors) predicted against pT0, suggesting the avoidance of NAC and its morbidity in these patients with mixed tumors.

Objective: To externally validate currently available bladder cancer nomograms for prediction of all-cause survival (ACS), cancer-specific survival (CSS), other-cause mortality (OCM) and progression-free survival (PFS).

Patients And Methods: Retrospective analysis of a prospectively maintained database of 282 patients who underwent robot-assisted radical cystectomy (RARC) at a single institution was performed. The Bladder Cancer Research Consortium (BCRC), International Bladder Cancer Nomogram Consortium (IBCNC) and Lughezzani nomograms were used for external validation, and evaluation for accuracy at predicting oncological outcomes.

Objective: To develop and establish effectiveness of simulation-based robotic curriculum--fundamental skills of robotic surgery (FSRS).

Methods: FSRS curriculum was developed and incorporated into a virtual reality simulator, Robotic Surgical Simulator (RoSS). Fifty-three participants were randomized into an experimental group (EG) or control group (CG).
