The development of a fatal, clonal, autonomously proliferating CD4-CD8- chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)+ peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) occurred 1 month after a patient received treatment with tisagenlecleucel for relapsed primary central nervous system lymphoma. The PTCL had a clonal T-cell receptor rearrangement, which was already detectable in the apheresis product for CAR T-cell manufacturing and 7 months earlier for autologous transplantation. Somatic and mutations in CD34+ stem cells and their progeny were detected in the PTCL, in the apheresis specimen that was obtained for CAR T-cell production, and in the autotransplant.

This work introduces a novel microfluidic backpressure pressure control developed for chip-based supercritical fluid chromatography (chipSFC). The presented on-chip pressure control mechanism involves the post-column addition of a viscous make-up stream, which enables pressure regulation within the range of 73 to 130 bar range. In contrast to approaches using mechanical backpressure regulators, this chip-based make-up-assisted pressure regulation offers a wear-free alternative that functions entirely through fluidic means and contributes minimally to extra column volume.

We present the case of a minimally invasive surgical correction for failed percutaneous atrial septal defect (ASD) closure in a 57-year-old female patient with residual ASD, tricuspid regurgitation, atrial fibrillation, and embolization of one of two occluders to the superior mesenteric artery. Our surgical approach consisted of anterolateral minithoracotomy, aortic and femoral vein cannulation, cryoablation, cardiac device removal, closure of ASD with autologous pericardium, and tricuspid repair. The procedure was uneventful and patient was discharged home on postoperative day 4.
