Takotsubo-like syndrome triggered by fludrocortisone overdose for Addison's disease: a case report.

Background: Reversible left ventricular dysfunction, also termed Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, is rarely reported in Addison's disease after initiation of hormone replacement therapy. The pathogenesis of this cardiomyopathy is unknown.
