Over the last decades several self-report instruments have been developed to identify diabetes at risk for depression. In a sample of diabetes outpatients, we assessed the accuracy of three widely-used instruments, and recommend the instruments with the best sensitivity and specificity for identifying diabetes in need of early treatment for depression.

First, comparisons were made to cancer mortality from the immigrants' country of origin and second, cancer mortality among Turkish immigrants across four host countries (Belgium, Denmark, France and the Netherlands) was compared. We review the thematic development of Dances of Death and study the development of social critique.
Methods: We first assembled a full catalogue of all Dances of Death created between 1400 and 1800.
During the 1980s and 1990s life expectancy at birth has risen only slowly in the Netherlands. In 2002, however, the rise in life expectancy suddenly accelerated. We studied the possible causes of this remarkable development.
