Selective laser melting (SLM) is an additive manufacturing process for producing metallic components with complex geometries. A drawback of this process is the process-inherent poor surface finish, which is highly detrimental in materials submitted to fatigue loading situations. The goal of this work is to analyze the fatigue behavior of Ti-6Al-4V specimens with internal axial channels under the following different conditions: hole drilled, hole as manufactured, and hole threaded M4 × 0.

We present the growth and characterization of ZnCdSe/ZnCdMgSe quantum cascade (QC) heterostructures grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and designed to operate at 6-8μm. These structures utilize the better-understood ZnCdMgSe with InP lattice matched compositions yielding a bandgap of 2.80 eV as compared to previous work which used ZnCdMgSe compositions with bandgaps at 3.

However long-term data on benefits of achieving SVR has just begun to emerge. The purpose of this study was to determine whether SVR truly represents long- term viral eradication in a Latino veteran population and document clinical and biochemical outcomes in this group.
