The primary small cell carcinoma of the vagina is rare, and it is a highly aggressive malignancy with no consensus regarding the treatment of this tumor. The survival rate for patients treated in the early stages is around two years. We related the case report of a patient of 41 years with a vegetative and necrotic lesion in left vaginal wall, in middle and upper third, and involvement of parametrium in its proximal third and medium third.

Cellular fibroma of the ovary with multiloculated macroscopic characteristics: case report.

Synchronous sertoli cell and serous cystadenoma tumors of the ovaries with mixed epithelial and stromal tumor of the kidney: a case report.

We present a rare case of a 68-year-old postmenopausal woman with a mobile, hard, and painless pelvic abdominal mass that was palpated to the umbilical scar. Ultrasonography demonstrated a solid mass in the upper pole of the right kidney and a predominantly solid pelvic abdominal mass. Serum testosterone was 413 ng/dL.

Thickness of the cervical epithelium of autopsied patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.

Several general pathologic processes that affect the uterine cervix have been described in Brazil and in the world. The aim of the current study was to evaluate morphometrically the cervical epithelium of autopsied patients with AIDS. This is a cross-sectional study of the cervix of 38 women autopsied from 1993 to 2003.

Bronchogenic carcinoma of squamous cells in a young pregnant woman.

Lung cancer continues to be the most incident neoplasia in the world and also the most frequent cause of death by cancer, with more than 900000 new cases per year. Women present greater risk of developing bronchogenic carcinoma, possibly because of differences in metabolism of the carcinogens associated with tobacco and also because of hormonal differences because estrogens can promote the appearance of lung cancer, including during pregnancy. We have described the case of a 25-year-old patient who developed squamous cell carcinoma of the lung during her third pregnancy, with a progressive worsening of her general condition and progression until death.

Isospora belli infection: observation of unicellular cysts in mesenteric lymphoid tissues of a Brazilian patient with AIDS and animal inoculation.

We describe the finding of unizoic cysts of Isospora belli in lymphoid tissues of a Brazilian patient with AIDS, and discuss the possibilities of their drug resistance, they being the cause of relapses, and of being an indication for the existence of intermediary or paratenic animal hosts.
