Access to dental care and caries experience among children with cerebral palsy: a Singapore experience.

Introduction: Cerebral palsy (CP) is one of the most severe childhood neurodevelopmental disabilities resulting from non-progressive insult to the developing brain. We aimed to report our experience regarding dental visit attendance, caries prevalence and factors affecting dental access in children with CP in Singapore.

Methods: Patients diagnosed with CP who were born in or after 1994 were included in this study.

Premature thelarche in an infant girl with failure to thrive related to dietary soy exposure.

A 7-month-old female infant presented with failure to thrive. She was breastfed till 3 months of age, thereafter switched to soy-based milk formula. There was no history to suggest excess energy losses, recurrent infections or chronic diarrhoea.

Oral propranolol for the treatment of infantile haemangiomas in Singapore.

Introduction: Infantile haemangiomas (IH) are the most common vascular tumours in childhood. Over the past decade, treatment of IH has been revolutionised by the discovery of the effectiveness of beta-blockers in its treatment. We review our hospital's experience with oral propranolol in the treatment of IH in an Asian population.
