Methionine is one of the most frequently supplemented amino acids in raising of poultry. However, an overdose of methionine can cause hyperhomocysteinemia. Folic acid, taking part in the process of homocysteine remethylation, is a factor affecting the reduction of the concentration of this amino acid.

The data were 6,955,768 TD records from the 702,830 first six lactations of 284,193 Polish Holstein-Friesian cows. Cows calved in 19,102 herds between 2001 and 2018.

The impact factors are represented in a matrix that connects practices to indicators. The indicators are related to environmental, economic and social sustainability of a typical European integrated crop-livestock farm.

The most polymorphic BoLA-DRB3.2 locus was analysed in 209 black-and-white Holstein-Friesian cows in Poland in order to a better explanation of influence of MHC on immunity to diseases in dairy cattle.

MPO participates in the inflammatory response in multiple locations in the body, including the mammary glands. As a result of the activity of MPO, many oxidising compounds as well as reactive oxygen species are generated.

There are a few reports on methods of DNA isolation from milk, but many of them are time consuming and expensive, and require relatively large volumes of raw milk. In this study a rapid, sensitive, and efficient method of DNA extraction from milk somatic cells of various mammals (cattle, sheep, goats, horses) is presented.
