Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the hepatoprotective effects of an artichoke leaf extract, which may counteract liver damage caused by harmful substances that produce free radicals.
  • Researchers administered three doses of the extract to rats with liver damage and measured various oxidative stress markers and liver enzyme levels.
  • Results indicated that the artichoke extract enhances antioxidant levels and helps in the regeneration of liver function, making it a potential treatment for protecting the liver from further damage.

A new and scalable method for the isolation of extracellular vesicles (EV) from Citrus lemon juice samples was developed. The methodology included preliminary preconcentration of the sample using ultrafiltration (UF) followed by size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) purification and final preconcentration of the eluates. Transmission electron microscopy and proteomic analysis showed that isolates contained exosome-like vesicles, exocyst-positive organelle (EXPO), and microvesicles.

In this article, we have presented the development and validation of a rapid and sensitive reversed-phase liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for the determination of vincristine (VCR) in patient serum samples. Chromatographic separation was achieved on a Kinetex® (Singapore) column using a mobile phase consisting of 25 mM acetic acid and 0.3% formic acid (A) and methanol (B) in a gradient elution mode at a flow rate of 0.
