Introduction: Delays in diagnosis and initiation of treatment have a negative impact on the prognosis and survival of head and neck cancer (HNC) patients. These delays also involve more intensive treatments with greater toxicity, dysfunction, and morbidity.

Methods: This was a retrospective observational study with patients diagnosed with HNC between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2021.

A Case of Success With Immunotherapy After Changing the Therapeutics Strategy in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have already shown benefit with higher response and survival rates when compared to standard chemotherapy in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Although there is evidence that radiation and immunotherapy offer good response rates without additional toxicity, these treatments are not currently utilized in our everyday clinical practice to treat advanced disease. We present a case of success of a 50-year-old male with stage IIIC adenocarcinoma of the lung with high PD-L1 expression and no driver mutations whose disease progressed after two cycles of induction chemotherapy.

The Yellow-legged Hornet () (YLH) is an invasive insect that arrived in Europe in 2004 and is now spread across nine countries. It is a threat to the native entomofauna and harmful to beekeeping and agriculture, as it is a ravenous predator of the European Honey Bee () and other pollinating species. Its expansion has been unstoppable and all resources are needed to fight against it, including native vertebrate predators.

Cephalometric determinants of facial attractiveness: A quadratic correlation study.

Introduction: This research aimed to determine the nonlinear correlation between lateral cephalometric measurements and facial attractiveness, evaluated in the frontal and profile views. A quadratic correlation was studied, in which the vertex of the function indicates the cephalometric value corresponding to the maximum attractiveness.

Methods: Frontal and profile facial attractiveness of 60 patients with Class I (n = 20), Class II (n = 20), or Class III malocclusion (n = 20) aged 18-35 years without previous orthodontic treatment was evaluated by 14 laypersons (7 men and 7 women) with a visual analog scale.

Introduction: This cross-sectional study aimed to analyze the precision and trueness of dental models produced using 2 rapid prototyping 3-dimensional printers.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of a telehealth-delivered nutritional intervention via telephone in maintenance hemodialysis (HD) patients during the coronavirus outbreak.

Methods: This was a multicenter, observational, prospective, and longitudinal study of 156 patients undergoing maintenance HD from 15 dialysis units conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic. We assigned patients to receive dietary counseling through a phone call, according to their biochemical and nutritional parameters.

An unprecedented case is presented involving a massive calculus buildup on the mandibular incisors. The clinical and radiographic findings were reviewed, probable causes were investigated, and results were outlined and discussed. The composition, origin, and formation of dental calculus and its interrelationship with dental plaque and saliva were highlighted.
