Asian Americans are the fastest-growing racial group in the United States. This article describes the development of a pain management assessment guide for Asian patients on hospice, their families, and their nurses. Thematic analysis was used to evaluate the applicability of research on pain, pain management, and barriers to pain management from primarily Asian countries to Asian patients on hospice in the United States.

Background: Sociodemographic variables that are predictors of rehospitalization for heart failure may better inform hospital discharge strategies.

Objectives: (1) To determine whether sociodemographic variables are predictors of hospital readmission, (2) to determine whether sociodemographic or laboratory variables differ by age group as predictors of readmission, and (3) to compare whether patients' discharge disposition differs by age group in predicting readmission.

Aim: The aim of the present study was to survey directors of nursing (DONs) and chief operating officers (COOs) in the People's Republic of China on the importance of DON role competencies based on the Forces of Magnetism.

Background: The present study describes part of an international collaborative effort to support the attainment of the Chinese Ministry of Health's plan to strengthen and to increase the knowledge and skill levels of nurse administrators.

A nine-cell financial analysis model is used to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies on the economic performance of a home health care agency.
