Purpose: Limited research exists on acquired communication disorders (ACD) in Aboriginal Australians despite their high rates of stroke. Their uptake of rehabilitation services is low, and little information is available on functional consequences for this population. Approximately 30% of people who survive stroke are left with some level of aphasia, and yet Indigenous Australians appear to be infrequent users of speech-language pathology services, and there is virtually no research literature about the experiences of aphasia for this group of people. This paper presents the stories of living with aphasia for three Indigenous Australian men living in Perth, Western Australia.

Description: The purpose was to examine the efficacy of PDA-based resources and patient-encounter logging systems among 3rd-year medical clerks during pediatrics rotations.
Evaluation: Students in rotations were assigned to control (using paper-based logs and references) or intervention groups (using PDA-based logs and resources).
Objective: To identify how medical student learning experiences in a new longitudinally integrated clinical clerkship (LICC) programme impacted students' learning.
Methods: We conducted semi-structured interviews with 12 medical students at three points in their training. We used an inductive, thematic analytic approach to data.
Introduction: Medical education experiences, particularly in clinical years, are reported determinants of career choice. Less is known about features of clinical education experiences including length, discipline, setting and choice, which may serve as landmarks in career choice decisions. This study's purpose was to explore the benefits of a free choice clerkship elective, and more specifically, its role in clarifying career choice.
