Plasmon-enhanced photocatalysis using gold nanoparticles encapsulated in nanoscale molybdenum oxide shell.

Using solar energy to enhance the transformation rate of organic molecules is a promising strategy to advance chemical synthesis and environmental remediation. Plasmonic nanoparticles responsive to sunlight show great promise in the catalysis of chemical reactions. In this work, we used a straightforward wet-chemistry method to synthesize plasmonic octahedral gold nanoparticles (NPs) coated with thin molybdenum oxide (MoO), Au@MoONPs, which exhibited strong surface plasmon resonance in a broad wavelength range.

Review of the subgenus () Gorochov, 1993 (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Meconematinae) from China.

Gorochov (1993) erected the subgenus Xizicus (Xizicus), with the type species Xizicus (Xizicus) fascipes (Bey-Bienko, 1955). This subgenus is distinguished from the other subgenera of Xizicus by the following characters: male tenth abdominal tergite with a pair of contiguous posterior processes in the middle; subgenital plate simple, styli slender, located on the apices or subapices of lateral margins; posterior margin of female subgenital plate rounded.

A revision of the subgenus Xizicus (Paraxizicus) Liu, 2004 (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Meconematinae).

The paper reviews the subgenus Xizicus (Paraxizicus) Liu, 2004, and describes one new species, i.e. Xizicus (Paraxizicus) furcistylus sp.
