Comprehensive evaluation of the relationship between biomarker profiles and neoadjuvant chemotherapy outcomes for breast cancer patients.

Background: Accurately predicting the response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in breast cancer patients is crucial for guiding treatment strategies and enhancing clinical outcomes. Current studies have primarily focused on a limited set of biomarkers. More importantly, the results of many studies are in conflict.

Preoperative contrast-enhanced CT imaging and clinicopathological characteristics analysis of mismatch repair-deficient colorectal cancer.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) can develop through various pathogenetic pathways, and one of the primary pathways is high microsatellite instability (MSI-H)/deficient mismatch repair (dMMR). This study investigated the correlation between preoperative contrast-enhanced CT (CECT) and clinicopathologic characteristics of colorectal cancer (CRC) according to different mismatch repair (MMR) statuses.

Methods: From April 2021 to July 2022, a total of 281 CRC patients with preoperative CECT and available MMR status were enrolled from a single centre for this retrospective study.

Papillary renal neoplasm with reverse polarity: A case report.

As a recently named rare renal tumor of epithelial origin, papillary renal neoplasm with reverse polarity (PRNRP) has unique histomorphological features and immunophenotypes, often associated with KRAS mutations and showing indolent biological behavior. In this study, we report a case of PRNRP. In this report, nearly all tumor cells were positive for GATA-3, KRT7, EMA, E-Cadherin, Ksp-Cadherin, 34βE12, and AMACR in varying intensities, focally positive for CD10 and Vimentin, while negative for CD117, TFE3, RCC, and CAIX.

Rare renal cell carcinoma with haemangioblastoma-like features and leiomyomatous stroma: report of a unique case with TSC2 and SETD2 variations.

Background: Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) with haemangioblastoma-like characteristics is a type of RCC reported in recent years. RCC with (angio) leiomyomatous stroma (RCCLMS) was included as a provisional entity of the 2016 World Health Organization (WHO) classification. RCC with haemangioblastoma-like characteristics and leiomyomatous stroma is extremely rare.
