Integrative Korean medicine treatment (KMT) is explored as a conservative method for treating ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) in neck pain patients, with little existing research on its effectiveness.
A study involving 78 patients from four Korean medicine hospitals revealed significant improvements in neck pain, arm pain, and overall quality of life metrics after KMT treatment.
At discharge, patients reported notable reductions in pain scores and disabilities, with a majority indicating substantial improvements during follow-up evaluations.
