CRISPR/Cas12a-based diagnostics have great potential for sensing nucleic acids, but their application is limited by the sequence-dependent property. A platform termed miR-Cabiner (a universal NA sensing platform based on self-stacking scaded cyclic DA circuit-mdiated CISPR/Cas12a) is demonstrated herein that is sensitive and universal for analyzing miRNAs. This platform combines catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA) and hybrid chain reaction (HCR) into a unified circuit and finally cascades to CRISPR/Cas12a.

We propose that [PWO] as the guest, due to its excellent reversible 18 electron-transfer capacity and redox properties, and then TM-BDC (TM = Ni, Co, Fe, BDC = 1,4-benzene-dicarboxylate) as the host make [PWO] packaged and not escape due to its porous structure. Benefiting from strong redox-competent interactions between [PWO] and porous structures of TM-BDC and full exposure of abundant active sites, three {PW}@TM-BDC composites exhibited excellent HER activity, with {PW}@Ni-BDC requiring 198 mV (overpotentials) and 104 mV/dec (Tafel slope) for HER.

We investigate photocurrent generation mechanisms in a pentacene single-molecule junction using subnanometer resolved photocurrent imaging under both on- and off-resonance laser excitation. By employing a wavelength-tunable laser combined with a lock-in technique, net photocurrent signals are extracted to elucidate photoinduced electron tunneling processes. Under off-resonance excitation, photocurrents are found to arise from photon-assisted tunneling, with contributions from three distinct frontier molecular orbitals at different bias voltages.

Particularly, the displacement field is crucial for tuning the electronic structures and topological properties of twisted double bilayer graphene (TDBG). Here, we present a series of -tunable topological transitions by the evolution of quantum Hall phases (QHPs) in the valence bands of TDBG.

Aim: To determine the effect of remote support courses on the mental health of parents and the development of autistic children.
Methods: Parents of 140 autistic children were randomly assigned to two groups receiving a 2-week intervention: The control group received caregiver-mediated intervention (CMI); the experimental group received CMI with remote family psychological support courses (R-FPSC).
Premature osteoporosis due to parathyroid hormone-related peptide (PTHrP) dysfunction presents significant bone health challenges. This study explores the role of p16-mediated cellular senescence in this condition using a Pthrp knock-in (KI) mouse model lacking the nuclear localization sequence and C-terminus of PTHrP. We generated p16⁻⁄⁻KI mice and compared them with wild-type, p16⁻⁄⁻, and KI mice.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFGWASs have identified many loci associated with osteoporosis, but the underlying genetic regulatory mechanisms and the potential drug target need to be explored. Here, a new regulatory mechanism is found that a GWAS intergenic SNP (rs4683184) functions as an enhancer to influence the binding affinity of transcription factor RUNX2, whose phase separation can mediate the long-range chromatin interaction between enhancer and target gene XCR1 (a member of the GPCR family), leading to changes of XCR1 expression and osteoblast differentiation. Bone-targeting AAV of Xcr1 can improve bone formation in osteoporosis mice, suggesting that XCR1 can be a new susceptibility gene for osteoporosis.

Enhanced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and increased pyroptosis in chondrocytes may be responsible for cartilage degeneration. This study aims to investigate the effect of ER stress on chondrocyte pyroptosis and the upstream regulatory mechanisms, which have rarely been reported.

Currently, there are no effective countermeasures, and the potential risk of a future outbreak requires urgent attention. To address this challenge, the complete genome sequence of BoDV-1 was utilized, and immunoinformatics was applied to identify antigenic peptides suitable for vaccine development.

However, the sensitivity and stability of 3D perovskite X-ray detectors are currently being hindered by the existing constraints on ion movement. Therefore, there is an immediate need to develop X-ray detectors that are both highly sensitive and stable while also being environmentally friendly.
