In this paper, a quantized controller is designed for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems subjected to unknown disturbances and unknown dead-zone nonlinearity. A general class of strict feedback nonlinear systems is taken as the plant to design the controller. Here, each differential equation of the system is considered to have unknown parameters and time-varying disturbances.

There are no clear recommendations regarding the duration required for the electrode to equilibrate and reliably evaluate tissue oxygenation values. Decoupling of the stator currents is important for smoother torque response of indirect vector controlled induction motors. Typically, feedforward decoupling is used to take care of current coupling that requires exact knowledge of motor parameters, additional circuitry and signal processing. In this paper, a method is proposed to design the regulating proportional-integral gains that minimize coupling without any requirement of the additional decoupler.

Background: Hyperspectral imaging technology is a novel method of using transcutaneous measurement of oxyhemoglobin (HT-Oxy) and deoxyhemoglobin (HT-Deoxy) concentrations to create a two-dimensional, color-coded "oxygen map." The aims of this study were to compare the use of a hyperspectral imaging device with the transcutaneous oxygen measurement (TCOM), ankle-brachial index (ABI), and severity of peripheral vascular disease (PVD) and to assess their correlations.

Methods: This prospective study recruited 294 participants divided into three distinct groups composed of healthy volunteers and patients with PVD.
