Environmental pollution results in serious health hazards to animals, reflected in biogenic and risk element concentrations in animal tissues. The objective of this study was to examinate concentration of selected elements in testes, and epididymal spermatozoa motility of wild boars. Wild boars were hunted in region Žuhračka - Levice, Slovak Republic.

Article Synopsis
  • * Significant changes in sperm motility were observed, particularly at lower temperatures with higher CaCl concentrations, but negatively impacted motility at 37°C compared to control samples.
  • * Overall, while the effects of CaCl on motility varied with concentration and time, there was no significant impact on sperm viability, indicating that CaCl does not substantially enhance stallion reproductive parameters.

In the present study the concentration of selected elements in tissues of domestic rabbits and of wild brown-hares (kidneys, liver, and muscle - ) in Slovakian habitats were determined. After mineralization the elements examined were detected using flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry/graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry. For rabbits, Fe in the liver was correlated with essential (Mn, Cu) ( = 0.
