Article Synopsis
  • Hysteresis is a key feature of magnetic materials, and the Jiles-Atherton (J-A) hysteresis model is widely used for its simplicity and clear physical meaning.
  • The study developed a state space representation of the J-A model to analyze hysteresis behavior, addressing issues like singularity at zero crossings through approximation techniques.
  • The effectiveness of this model was validated using COMSOL software on a permalloy sample, showing strong alignment with experimental results, and demonstrating its potential applications in various fields such as magnetic shielding and cold atom clock technology.

The soil microbial fuel cell (SMFC) has been widely used for soil remediation for its low cost and being eco-friendly. But low degradation efficiency and high mass transfer resistance limit its performance. This study constructed a solar cell-soil microbial fuel cell (SC-SMFC) with different voltages, which use clean energy to improve system performance.

Uranium(U), a highly toxic radionuclide, is becoming a great threat to soil health development, as returning nuclear waste containing U into the soil systems is increased. Numerous studies have focused on: i) tracing the source in U contaminated soils; ii) exploring U geochemistry; and iii) assessing U phyto-uptake and its toxicity to plants. Yet, there are few literature reviews that systematically summarized the U in soil-plant system in past decade.
