Consistently, the multiple heart-kidney interactions make pharmaceutical research for cardiorenal syndrome difficult and complex. Guanxinning Injection (GXN) has been reported to provide unique advantage for treating cardiac and renal diseases compared to typical monotherapies. However, the protection mechanism of GXN is largely unknown.

Therefore, there is a great need to study cardiorenal communication in this model.
Methods: An adriamycin-induced nephropathy model was established via tail vein injection.

Livestock and poultry (LP) pollution affects water quality of water resources. In this study, spatio-temporal variations in amount, structure, and discharge of LP pollutant in the water source area of the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Diversion Project (MR-SNWDP) in China on the county scale were analyzed. In this regard, the gray water footprint (GWF) was employed as an indicator for quantitative evaluation of LP pollution to measure the impact of these parameters on local water resources.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAgricultural non-point source (NPS) pollution in water source protection areas poses serious challenges for governments in developing countries. It is important to consider the environmental behavior of farmers when exploring the causes of NPS pollution as well as when establishing scientific controls and management measures. However, the poor understanding of factors influencing the environmental behavior of farmers and the lack of a suitable environmental socio-psychological model limit the application of the environmental behavior of farmers in NPS pollution management.

Based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB), the present study investigated the environmental behavior of farmers in the Water Source Area of the Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project in China. Results showed that TPB could explain farmers' environmental behavior (SMC=0.
