Nitrogen-containing heterocycles have attracted attention for the development of chemicals because of their many types, high physiological activities, and ease of synthesis. Aphids are severe pests found worldwide that cause serious losses in crop yield and quality every year. In this study, a series of novel dienolone thiazole derivatives were synthesized using dienolone acetate as the parent molecule.

The outbreak of Ulva prolifera blooms causes significant changes in the coastal sulfur cycle due to the high production of dimethylsulfoniopropionate (DMSP) and the emission of dimethylsulfide (DMS). However, the sulfur metabolism mechanism of U. prolifera has not been thoroughly investigated.

To examine the effects of mindfulness on shame and the mechanisms mediated by cognitive flexibility and self-compassion in a Chinese adult population in daily life, we conducted two studies. Study 1 was a cross-sectional study using the Five-Factor Mindfulness Questionnaire, the Cognitive Flexibility Inventory, the Self-Compassion Scale, and the Self-Conscious Affect-3, which were administered to 481 adults in Beijing and Chengdu. For Study 2, an 8-month follow-up study was conducted on 128 of the adults.

Melt-polymerization and mechanical ball-milling were combined to achieve the facile mass production of polyimide covalent organic frameworks (COFs) towards high-performance sodium-ion batteries. The as-obtained COFs were demonstrated with high utilization of active sites (>83.0%) and COFs with smaller pore sizes were proved to deliver better performance with a specific capacity of 213.

Recent studies show that Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) are vulnerable to structure adversarial attacks, which draws attention to adversarial defenses in graph data. Previous defenses designed heuristic defense strategies for specific attacks or graph properties, and are no longer sufficiently robust across all these attacks. To address this problem, we discuss the abnormal behaviors of GNNs in structure perturbations from a posterior distribution perspective.

Graph neural networks (GNNs) based on message-passing mechanisms have achieved advanced results in graph classification tasks. However, their generalization performance degrades when noisy labels are present in the training data. Most existing noisy labeling approaches focus on the visual domain or graph node classification tasks and analyze the impact of noisy labels only from a utility perspective.

Background & Aims: The risk of mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) for pregnant women with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) infection still exists, especially for those with high HBV DNA level. The guidelines for initiating prophylaxis for pregnant women with CHB vary across countries. We aimed to explore the latest prophylaxis initiation time for these women.

Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is distinguished by a significant likelihood of distant recurrence and an unfavourable prognosis. However, the underlying molecules and mechanisms have not been fully elucidated.

Methods: We investigated the expression profile and clinical relevance of chaperonin-containing TCP1 subunit 6A (CCT6A) in TNBC.

Article Synopsis
  • Mindfulness training is growing in popularity in China, but past research has mainly focused on how much mindfulness is practiced rather than the quality of that practice, leading to the validation of the Practice Quality - Mindfulness (PQ-M) as a solution.
  • The study involved 160 participants who practiced mindfulness for 20 minutes daily over four days and completed various assessments to evaluate the internal consistency and construct validity of the Chinese version of the PQ-M (Ch-PQ-M).
  • Results showed that Ch-PQ-M has good internal consistency and reliability, and its two-factor model (perseverance and receptivity) is supported; significant improvements were noted in participants' trait anxiety and associated measures of well-being.

Objective: Interoception plays an important role in psychological functioning and mental and physical health. Recent studies have highlighted the need to distinguish between different aspects of interoception in self-report measures, including subjective interoceptive accuracy and attention. However, there is currently no questionnaire available in Chinese to measure either of these aspects, especially in patients with chronic pain conditions.

Background: Management of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) needs long-term therapy. Stapokibart is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin-4 receptor α subunit (IL-4Rα), a shared receptor for IL-4 and IL-13 which are key pathogenic drivers of AD. In a pivotal phase 3 trial (NCT05265923), significant higher proportions of adult AD patients receiving stapokibart than placebo achieved ≥75% improvement from baseline in Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI-75; 66.

Immunotherapy has emerged as a highly effective treatment for various tumors. However, the variable response rates associated with current immunotherapies often restrict their beneficial impact on a subset of patients. Therefore, more effective treatment approaches that can broaden the scope of therapeutic benefits to a larger patient population are urgently needed.

While frequently used herbicides display limited efficacy against herbicide-resistant weeds, it becomes imperative to explore novel herbicides that ensure both effective weed management and environmental safety. Though 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) inhibitory herbicides like mesotrione are prevalent in maize weed management, their integration into rice production is hindered due to the inherent sensitivity of rice HPPD (). In this study, a mutant allele of featuring six amino acid substitutions, termed -6M, maintains enzymatic activity in 200 μm mesotrione while the wild type can only withstand 1 μm.

Background: Stapokibart/CM310, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the interleukin-4 receptor α chain, has shown promising treatment benefits in patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis in previous phase II clinical trials.

Objective: We aimed to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of stapokibart in adults with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis.

Methods: Enrolled patients who previously completed parent trials of stapokibart received a subcutaneous stapokibart 600-mg loading dose, then 300 mg every 2 weeks up to 52 weeks.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigated the relationship between depression and perceived ostracism among 389 Chinese college students, focusing on how interpretation bias and mindfulness play a role in this connection.
  • It found that higher levels of depression were linked to feeling more ostracized, with negative interpretation bias partially mediating this relationship.
  • Additionally, mindfulness, particularly awareness, seemed to reduce the impact of interpretation bias on perceived ostracism, suggesting that being more aware can help mitigate feelings of social rejection in depressed individuals.*

Excessive use of gentamicin sulfate can cause severe nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity, abnormal levels of Fe intake can also cause serious damage to body. Therefore, establishing a fast and accurate detection method for the above-mentioned substances is of great significance. However, traditional detection methods such as high-performance liquid chromatography still have certain problems such as high cost and complex operation.
