Flexible Threshold Quantum Homomorphic Encryption on Quantum Networks.

Currently, most quantum homomorphic encryption (QHE) schemes only allow a single evaluator (server) to accomplish computation tasks on encrypted data shared by the data owner (user). In addition, the quantum computing capability of the evaluator and the scope of quantum computation it can perform are usually somewhat limited, which significantly reduces the flexibility of the scheme in quantum network environments. In this paper, we propose a novel (t,n)-threshold QHE (TQHE) network scheme based on the Shamir secret sharing protocol, which allows k(t≤k≤n) evaluators to collaboratively perform evaluation computation operations on each qubit within the shared encrypted sequence.

Effect of basic fibroblast growth factor on hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α expression (Exp) and HIF-1 transcription in breast Cancer cell through PI-3 K Akt signaling.

Objective: To investigate the effect of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) on hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α expression (Exp) and HIF-1 transcription in breast cancer (BC) cells.

Methods: Human BC cell line T47D was utilized as the research object. Western blot and dual-luciferase system were utilized to detect HIF-1α Exp induced by bFGF in BC cells under hypoxia and normal oxygen conditions, as well as the Exp of phosphorylated ERK1/2, Akt, and p38 proteins, HIF-1α Exp induced by bFGF under kinase inhibitors' action, and HIF-1 transcription, thereby summarizing the impact of bFGF on BC cells and its association with PI-3 K Akt signaling pathway (SPW).

Preliminary exploration of metagenomic sequencing for pathogenic identification in infectious uveitis.

Purpose: To evaluate the advantages and clinical utility of metagenomic sequencing (MGS) in diagnosing infectious uveitis pathogens.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 20 infectious uveitis patients (20 eyes) who received treatments at the Affiliated Eye Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2020 to February 2021. Anterior aqueous humor of the patients was collected and analyzed using MGS.

Childhood and Adolescent Overweight/Obesity Prevalence Trends in Jiangsu, China, 2017-2021: An Age-Period-Cohort Analysis.

Objectives: To investigate temporal trends in childhood and adolescent overweight/obesity in Jiangsu Province, China, evaluating the effects of age, period, and birth cohort.

Design: Cross-sectional study.

Sample: Participants were 210,168 students aged 6-17 years from the five waves of the consecutive cross-sectional Jiangsu provincial surveillance project in 2017-2021.

An MLWE-Based Cut-and-Choose Oblivious Transfer Protocol.

The existing lattice-based cut-and-choose oblivious transfer protocol is constructed based on the learning-with-errors (LWE) problem, which generally has the problem of inefficiency. An efficient cut-and-choose oblivious transfer protocol is proposed based on the difficult module-learning-with-errors (MLWE) problem. Compression and decompression techniques are introduced in the LWE-based dual-mode encryption system to improve it to an MLWE-based dual-mode encryption framework, which is applied to the protocol as an intermediate scheme.

Multi-strategy modified sparrow search algorithm for hyperparameter optimization in arbitrage prediction models.

Deep learning models struggle to effectively capture data features and make accurate predictions because of the strong non-linear characteristics of arbitrage data. Therefore, to fully exploit the model performance, researchers have focused on network structure and hyperparameter selection using various swarm intelligence algorithms for optimization. Sparrow Search Algorithm (SSA), a classic heuristic method that simulates the sparrows' foraging and anti-predatory behavior, has demonstrated excellent performance in various optimization problems.

Association of Sugar-Sweetened Beverage Consumption and Moderate-to-Vigorous Physical Activity with Childhood and Adolescent Overweight/Obesity: Findings from a Surveillance Project in Jiangsu Province of China.

Sugar-sweetened beverage (SSB) consumption and inadequate moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) have been suggested as potential contributors to overweight/obesity during childhood or adolescence; however, the results of previous studies are inconsistent. It was crucial to estimate the independent and joint association of SSB consumption and inadequate MVPA for childhood and adolescent overweight/obesity. The "Surveillance for Common Disease and Health Risk Factors Among Students in Jiangsu Province 2021-2022" initiative provided us with representative population-based data that we studied.

Urinary neonicotinoid insecticides and adiposity measures among 7-year-old children in northern China: A cross-sectional study.

Background: Neonicotinoid insecticides (NEOs) are emerging synthetic insecticides used in various pest management regimens worldwide. Toxicology studies have indicated the obesogenic potential of NEOs, but their associations with adiposity measures are largely unknown.

Objectives: We aimed to assess urinary levels of NEOs/metabolites and their associations with children's adiposity measures, and to further investigate the potential role of oxidative stress.

Intelligent Identification of Coal Crack in CT Images Based on Deep Learning.

Automatic segmentation of coal crack in CT images is of great significance for the establishment of digital cores. In addition, segmentation in this field remains challenging due to some properties of coal crack CT images: high noise, small targets, unbalanced positive and negative samples, and complex, diverse backgrounds. In this paper, a segmentation method of coal crack CT images is proposed and a dataset of coal crack CT images is established.

Background: An increasing number of studies have reported neonicotinoid insecticides (NEOs), the emerging alternatives to conventional insecticides, may increase oxidative stress and cause adverse health effects, but limited is known about the prenatal NEOs exposures and their impact on birth outcomes.

Objectives: We investigated the levels of prenatal exposure to NEOs/metabolites, to assess their associations with birth outcomes, and investigate whether these associations could be mediated by oxidative stress using 8-OHdG as the biomarker.

Methods: We studied 296 mother-infant pairs recruited from Laizhou Wan Birth Cohort in 2010 - 2013.

Background: Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic widespread pain disorder associated with fatigue, tender points, sleep disturbances, and mood disorders. Symptoms associated with FM also include decreased cognitive function in which the neural basis is poorly understood. Neuroendocrine hormones may be correlated with cognitive performance under some ill conditions.

Tension-type headache (TTH) is the most prevalent primary headache. Chronic TTH (CTTH), the most serious form of TTH, is refractory, with a high socio-economic burden. Research studies have shown patients with migraine often had cognitive impairment, but few studies have focused on the cognition in patients with CTTH.

CEACAM6 attenuates adenovirus infection by antagonizing viral trafficking in cancer cells.

The changes in cancer cell surface molecules and intracellular signaling pathways during tumorigenesis make delivery of adenovirus-based cancer therapies inefficient. Here we have identified carcinoembryonic antigen- related cell adhesion molecule 6 (CEACAM6) as a cellular protein that restricts the ability of adenoviral vectors to infect cancer cells. We have demonstrated that CEACAM6 can antagonize the Src signaling pathway, downregulate cancer cell cytoskeleton proteins, and block adenovirus trafficking to the nucleus of human pancreatic cancer cells.
