Ocean-going ships powered by diesel engines were the main source of CO emissions in the marine environment, and it was imperative to study shipboard carbon capture technology. Based on this, the whole process of CO absorption and desorption was studied with a mixed amine (MEA + AMP). The effective cycle time, CO absorption capacity, desorption efficiency, energy consumption, foaming and volatilization characteristics, and other key parameters were compared and analyzed under the conditions of required capture efficiency by ships.

Exopolysaccharides (EPSs) are carbohydrate polymers that are synthesized and secreted into the extracellular during the growth of microorganisms. (Bt) is a type of entomopathogenic bacterium, that produces various insecticidal proteins and EPSs. In our previous study, the EPSs produced by Bt strains were first found to enhance the toxicity of insecticidal crystal proteins against .

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of retinal vascular degeneration and the expression of vessel-related claudin (CLD) proteins in retinal degeneration mouse (Pde6βrd1/rd1 rd1 mouse).

Methods: Retinas from wild-type (WT) mice and rd1 mice at postnatal day 3 (P3), P5, P8, P11, P13, P15, P18, and P21 were collected. Immunofluorescence staining was used to assess the retinal vascular plexus, cell proliferation, CLD expression, and retinal ganglion cells (RGCs).

Most of the existing oxidation denitrification methods need longer residence time to obtain higher NOx removal efficiency. In this study, urea peroxide (CO(NH)·HO) was first used for removing SO and NOx on diesel engine bench. The addition of ferrous sulfate can enhance the oxidant capacity of the solution.

With the implementation of sulfur emission regulations, influences of particulate matter (PM) emitted by marine diesel engines on nearshore atmospheric environment and human health are of increasingly concern. Whatever measures are chosen to meet sulfur emission regulations, the emission characteristic and influencing factors of PM should also be determined. In this study, number and mass emissions, volatility, main composition, and toxicity of PM from marine 4- and 2-stroke diesel engines were investigated.

The novel combined system using NaSO/urea was used to simultaneously absorb nitric oxide and sulfur dioxide emissions from marine diesel engines as well as inhibit the formation of nitrate in cleaning wastewater to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of regulations. The influences of reaction temperature, NaSO concentration, urea concentration, SO concentration, NO concentration and pH value on SO removal efficiency, NO removal efficiency and nitrate concentration were investigated. The experimental results showed that different reaction temperatures had different influences on SO removal efficiency, NO removal efficiency and nitrate concentration.
