Development and validation of the Parent-Reported Indicator of Developmental Evaluation for Chinese Children (PRIDE) tool.

Background: Developmental delay (DD) poses challenges to children's overall development, necessitating early detection and intervention. Existing screening tools in China focus mainly on children with developmental issues in two or more domains, diagnosed as global developmental delay (GDD). However, the recent rise of early childhood development (ECD) concepts has expanded the focus to include not only those with severe brain development impairments but also children who lag in specific domains due to various social-environmental factors, with the aim of promoting positive development through active intervention.

Exploring the efficacy of photodynamic antimicrobial chemotherapy on diabetic foot ulcers in rats.

We investigate the efficacy of photodynamic antimicrobial chemotherapy (PACT) and its combination with an antibiotic in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) in rats using a novel cationic amino acid porphyrin-based photosensitizer. The research findings demonstrate that the combination of novel cationic photosensitizer-mediated PACT and an antibiotic exhibits significant therapeutic efficacy in treating deep ulcers in a rat model of DFUs. Moreover, the PACT + Antibiotic group displays enhanced angiogenesis, improved tissue maturation, and superior wound healing effect.

Is adding biochar be better than crop straw for improving soil aggregates stability and organic carbon contents in film mulched fields in semiarid regions? -Evidence of 5-year field experiment.

Plastic film mulching is used widely to increase crop yields in semiarid areas, but improving the soil fertility in film mulched fields is also important for achieving sustainable high yields in northwest of China. In this study, a completely randomized two-factor field design experiment was conducted in Pengyang, Ningxia, China during 2017-2021. In order to investigate the effects of plastic film mulching with straw/biochar addition on the soil aggregate characteristics, organic carbon content, and maize yield.

Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy Involving a Novel Photosensitizer Combined With an Antibiotic in the Treatment of Rabbit Tibial Osteomyelitis Caused by Drug-Resistant Bacteria.

Osteomyelitis is deep tissue inflammation caused by bacterial infection. If such an infection persists, it can lead to dissolution and necrosis of the bone tissue. As a result of the extensive use of antibiotics, drug-resistant bacteria are an increasingly common cause of osteomyelitis, limiting the treatment options available to surgeons.
