Lanthanide polyhydrides, which have attracted the attention of researchers, are considered as a potential candidate material for high-temperature superconductivity. Especially, it is reported that N-doped LuHexhibits near ambient superconductivity recently. It has attracted attention to room temperature superconductivity of ternary Lu-N-H systems at near ambient pressure.

In this Letter, we show the generation of more than 1 × 10 photons (energy > 1 keV) with a peak brightness of 7.8 × 10 photons/(s mm mrad) at 0.

Via two-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations, we show the emergence of proton sheet crossing in a relativistically transparent plasma foil irradiated by a linearly polarized short pulse with the power of one petawatt. Instead of successively blowing the whole foil forward, the incident laser pulse readily penetrates through the plasma bulk, where the proton sheet crossing takes place and the merged self-generated longitudinal electric field traps and reflects the protons to yield a group of protons with plateau-type energy spectrum.
