This study investigated whether the anthocyanin cyanidin-3-O-β-glucoside (Cy-3-g) could affect platelet apoptosis and proplatelet formation in vitro. Thrombin-stimulated or resting human platelets and Meg-01 megakaryocytes were incubated with Cy-3-g (0, 0.5, 5, or 50 μM).

Anthocyanins are natural plant pigments and possess a wide range of biological activities, including cardiovascular protective activity. In the present study we explored the effects and the potential mechanisms of anthocyanins on platelet granule secretion in hypercholesterolemia.

Fine suspension cells showed high expression on 3 alpha-Exp genes with the highest alpha-Exp2 followed by alpha-Exp3 and alpha-Exp1 suggesting their strong cell expansion, while granular suspension cells only exist high expression on alpha-Exp3 indicating their later period of cell expansion or initial stage of secondary cell wall formation.

These beads could immobilize hybrid products between biotin-labeled (CT) 15 probe, and 300 approximately 1 000 bp DNA fragments previously linkaged to Sau3A I cassette. Two enriched microsatellite libraries with about 2 200 positive white clones were constructed by inserting potential microsatellite fragments into vector pUC118 BamH I /BAP and culturing with host E.
