Background: Docetaxel (DTX) resistance is a common factor in metastatic prostate cancer (PC) chemotherapy that leads to treatment failure. Because lncRNA is involved in a variety of regulatory processes in tumor progression, this study aimed to explore the function and mechanism of LINC00184 in docetaxel resistance of PC.

Methods: Two PC cell lines and their docetaxel resistant cell lines (DU145/DTX and PC3/DTX) were used.

Objective: The critical role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) has been implicated in prostate cancer (PCa). As one of them, LINC00992 (LNC992) has been revealed by bioinformatics prediction to be significantly overexpressed in PCa. However, the underlying mechanism of LNC992 in PCa has not been well investigated.

Background: The intervention of circHIPK3 in renal carcinoma (RC) has not been reported, and thus, the current study investigated the intervention and mechanism of circHIPK3 in RC.

Methods: The expression of circHIPK3 in RC tissues and cells was detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Ribonuclease R (RNase R) resistance and distribution of circHIPK3 and HIPK3 were analyzed by RNase R digestion experiments and cytoplasm/nucleus separation experiments.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the clinical potential of transcription factor () 21 methylation in the diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma (RCC). methylation levels were quantified in renal tissues (55 cases of RCC tissue and 22 cases of normal tissue) and urine samples (33 cases of urine samples with RCC and 15 cases of normal urine samples) using pyrosequencing. Spearman's rank correlation coefficient was used to investigate the correlation between methylation levels and clinical parameters (gender, age, smoking history, Fuhrman grade and clinical stage).
