Male infertility has become an increasingly severe global health issue, with its incidence significantly rising over the past few decades. This paper delves into the crucial role of epigenetics in male reproductive health, focusing particularly on the effects of DNA methylation, histone modifications, chromatin remodeling and non-coding RNAs regulation on spermatogenesis. Exposure to various environmental factors can cause sperm DNA damage, leading to epigenetic abnormalities.

However, it remains uncertain whether this advantage extends to specialized subpopulations, such as women with thin endometrium (TE), who are characteristic of impaired endometrial receptivity. Thus, this study aims to evaluate the difference in the CLBR between cleavage-stage and blastocyst-stage embryos at fresh ET specifically in women with TE.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy of Follitropin alpha (Gonal-F) and Follitropin beta (Puregon) on cumulative live birth rate (CLBR), defined as the percentage of the number of patients who delivered for the first time in a single ovarian stimulation cycle and the number of patients in all oocyte retrieval cycles.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study including 2864 infertile patients who underwent ovarian stimulation with Puregon (group A, n=1313) and Gonal-F (group B, n=1551) was conducted between July 2015 and June 2021 at a university-affiliated reproductive medicine center. Reduce potential confounding factors between groups, propensity scores and multivariable logistic regression analyses were estimated to obtain unbiased estimates of outcomes.
Background: Managing infertility patients with poor ovarian response (POR) to ovarian stimulation remains unmet clinically. Besides economic burdens, patients with POR have a poor prognosis during in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET). In this study, we assessed the efficacy and safety of Shen Que (RN8) moxibustion on reproductive outcomes in POSEIDON patients (Group 2a).

However, traditional methods are time-consuming and destructive. A high-throughput and low-cost method of quantification of wheat nutrients with VIS-NIR (400-1700 nm) hyperspectral imaging is proposed in this study.

Rapid rehabilitation care predicated on evidence-based medical theory aims to improve postoperative nursing care, subsequently reducing the physical and mental traumatic stress response and helping patients who undergo surgery recover rapidly.
Aim: To assess the effect of rapid rehabilitation care on clinical outcomes, including overall postoperative complications, anastomotic leaks, wound infections, and intestinal obstruction in patients with colorectal cancer.
In this chapter, we explore the application of high-throughput crop phenotyping facilities for phenotype data acquisition and the extraction of significant information from the collected data through image processing and data mining methods. Additionally, the construction and outlook of crop phenotype databases are introduced and the need for global cooperation and data sharing is emphasized. High-throughput crop phenotyping significantly improves accuracy and efficiency compared to traditional measurements, making significant contributions to overcoming bottlenecks in the phenotyping field and advancing crop genetics.

Background: Several studies have compared the effects of fixed and flexible gonadotropin releasing hormone antagonist (GnRH-ant) protocols during fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET). However, which GnRH-ant initiation strategy is better remains controversial. Moreover, no studies have assessed the optimal timing of GnRH-ant initiation in women of advanced maternal age (AMA).

In this study, by incorporating two additional variables, namely, objective knowledge and benefit perceptions, the planned risk information seeking model (PRISM) was extended in the context of the WtE incineration project. A total of 1726 respondents were interviewed in person.

Background: Hospital Examination Reservation System (HERS) was designed for reducing appointment examination waiting time and enhancing patients' medical satisfaction in China, but implementing HERS would encounter many difficulties. This study would investigate the factors that influence patients' utilization of HERS through UTAUT2, and provide valuable insights for hospital managements to drive the effective implementation of HERS. It is helpful for improving patients' medical satisfaction.

A random sampling method was used to select 540 HCWs of the Chongqing-aid-Shanghai medical team from April to May 2022 as the study participants. Participants completed a general information questionnaire, the Post-traumatic Growth Inventory-Chinese version (PTGI-C), the Chinese version of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) and the Chinese Event Related Rumination Inventory (C-ERRI).

Objective: There is no clear evidence of clinical significance of endometrial compaction, which can be measured by a reduction in endometrial thickness (EMT) during the follicular-luteal transition before the day of embryo transfer. In this study, we aim to determine whether endometrial compaction has an effect on fertilization (IVF) success.
Methods: We searched PubMed, Cochrane, Embase, and Web of Science electronic databases for studies published in English up to March 2023.
Rationale: Idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (IHH) is a prevalent congenital genetic disorder with multiple inheritance patterns. IHH can manifest as normal hypogonadotrophic sexual hypofunction (nIHH) or with an abnormal sense of smell, known as Kallmann. It primarily affects the production and effectiveness of gonadotropin-releasing-hormone (GnRh), leading to reduced follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone levels.

Methods: This study included expected normal ovarian responders younger than 40 years old whose immature oocyte rate in the previous cycle was more than 50% at the reproductive center from July 2021 to November 2022. A total of 73 patients were enrolled at trigger, including 34 in the hCG trigger group and 39 in the dual trigger group (co-administration of gonadotrophin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist and hCG, 40 and 34 h prior to oocyte retrieval, respectively).
Aim: To explore the job demands of healthcare workers (HCWs) working in mobile cabin hospitals in Shanghai and identify the influencing factors.
Design: The study had a cross-sectional design.
Methods: Using the convenience sampling method, we selected 1223 HCWs (medical team members) working in these mobile cabin hospitals during April-May 2022.
Objective: To investigate the effect of - Xiaoyi Yusi decoction (XYYSD, ), a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), on fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) in patients with endometriosis, and to study the mechanism underpinning the action.
Methods: Women who underwent IVF-ET were divided into three groups by simple randomization: the treatment ( 32; with TCM treatment), patient (28; with endometriosis alone), and control (33; with male factor alone) groups. The luteal phase short-acting gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist prolonged protocol was used in all three groups.
Background: Owing to the outbreak of the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 in Shanghai, China, partitioned dynamic closure and control management plans were implemented on March 28, 2022. This created huge emergency pressure on Shanghai's medical and healthcare systems. However, the perceptions of job demands of healthcare workers (HCWs) and classification of frontline HCWs in mobile cabin hospitals are unknown.

Patients in this population often have a poor prognosis for treatment with assisted reproductive technology. In previous studies, oestrogen pretreatment before ovarian stimulation has been shown to have a beneficial effect.

Poor ovarian response (POR) to exogenous gonadotropin is a prominent characteristic of advanced-age women undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET), which results in fewer retrieved oocytes and poor pregnancy outcomes. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been shown to improve female fertility.
