Background: As the manual creation and maintenance of biomedical ontologies are labor-intensive, automatic aids are desirable in the lifecycle of ontology development.
Objective: Provided with a set of concept names in the Foundational Model of Anatomy (FMA), we propose an innovative method for automatically generating the taxonomy and the partonomy structures among them, respectively.
Methods: Our approach comprises 2 main tasks: The first task is predicting the direct relation between 2 given concept names by utilizing word embedding methods and training 2 machine learning models, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Bidirectional Long Short-term Memory Networks (Bi-LSTM).
Background: Current diagnostic methods for Schistosoma japonicum infection are insensitive for low-density infections. Therefore, a new diagnostic assay based on recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) technology was established and assessed for field applification.
Methods: The S.
Single base substitution mutations in codons 248 and 273 of TP53 and codon 12 Kirsten-ras (KRAS) are commonly found in human carcinomas. To determine whether these mutations also occur in normal and inflamed tissues from which carcinomas arise, we utilized the ultra-sensitive polymerase chain reaction/restriction endonuclease/ligase chain reaction mutation assay. Ninety samples of genital skin, including lichen sclerosus (LS) affected skin, adjacent normal and non-adjacent normal, were assayed.

Aim: To study the expressions of scavenger receptor class B type I(SR-BI) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma) in atherosclerotic mini swine and provide a new mechanism for investigating the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis.
Methods: Chinese mini swine were fed by a normal control diet or a high fat/high cholesterol diet for 12 months after common carotid artery injury induced by balloon denudation. Plasma total cholesterol(TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and triglycerides (TG) were determined by commercially enzymatic methods every two months.
