T follicular helper (Tfh) cells represent an important subset of CD4+ T cells that is crucial to the maturation and differentiation of B cells and the production of high-affinity antibodies. Because B cell activating-factor (BAFF), a vital B cell survival factor, is also crucial to B cell maturation and differentiation, we assessed the effects of BAFF on Tfh cell development and function. We demonstrated that deficiency of BAFF, but not of APRIL, markedly inhibited Tfh cell development, germinal center (GC) formation, and antigen-specific antibody production.

The complementary combination of emphasizing target objects in infrared images and rich texture details in visible images can effectively enhance the information entropy of fused images, thereby providing substantial assistance for downstream composite high-level vision tasks, such as nighttime vehicle intelligent driving. However, mainstream fusion algorithms lack specific research on the contradiction between the low information entropy and high pixel intensity of visible images under harsh light nighttime road environments. As a result, fusion algorithms that perform well in normal conditions can only produce low information entropy fusion images similar to the information distribution of visible images under harsh light interference.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a common autoimmune disease, and its pathogenesis mainly involves the aberrant activation of B cells through follicular helper T (Tfh) cells to produce pathogenic antibodies, which requires more effective and safe treatment methods. Dihydroartemisinin (DHA) is the main active ingredient of artemisinin and has immunosuppressive effects. In this study, in vitro experiments confirmed that DHA inhibited Tfh cell induction and weakened its auxiliary function in B cell differentiation; furthermore, DHA directly inhibited B cell activation, differentiation, and antibody production.

Focal iron overload is frequently observed in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), yet its functional significance remains elusive. Cohesion between sister chromatids by the cohesin protein complex ensures accurate chromosome segregation and enables recombinational DNA repair. Sister chromatid cohesion is promoted by acetylation of the SMC3 subunit of cohesin by the ESCO2 acetyltransferase, inhibiting cohesin release from chromatin. The interaction of ESCO2 with the DNA replication machinery, in part through PCNA-interacting protein (PIP) motifs in ESCO2, is required for full cohesion establishment.

The activation of CS by the 2-phosphindole complex with a low-coordinate phosphadiene moiety is reported. The successive hetero-Diels-Alder reaction between 2-phosphindoles and CS constructs two bridged rings and one spirocycle simultaneously, affording structurally complex P,S-polycyclic products. Commercial diol chain extenders generally could only form two urethane bonds, while abundant hydrogen bonds were required to construct self-healing thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers (TPU). Herein, two diol chain extenders bis(2-hydroxyethyl) (1,3-pheny-lene-bis-(methylene)) dicarbamate (BDM) and bis(2-hydroxyethyl) (methylenebis(cyclohexane-4,1-diy-l)) dicarbamate (BDH), containing two carbamate groups were successfully synthesized through the ring-opening reaction of ethylene carbonate (EC) with 1,3-benzenedimetha-namine (MX-DA) and 4, 4'-diaminodicyclohexylmethane (HMDA).
