Purpose: Obese men have a significantly increased risk of developing asthenozoospermia. Sperm motility is directly related to cellular energy supply and metabolic status. Sperm metabolomics research based on Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) technology can provide useful information for the pathological mechanism, diagnosis, and treatment of obesity-associated asthenozoospermia.

This retrospective study aimed to compare the clinical and radiological results of PKP and PMCP for the treatment of this disease.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the medical records of patients with osteoporotic compression fractures and upper endplate injuries treated at our hospital between January 2019 and December 2021.

Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of ultrasound and molybdenum target X-ray characteristics in predicting non-mass breast cancer.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 185 patients presenting with non-mass breast lesions between September 2019 and 2021. The non-mass lesions were categorized into benign and malignant types based on ultrasonographic findings, which included lamellar hypoechoic, ductal alteration, microcalcification, and structural disorder types.
Background: Extragastric lesions are typically not misdiagnosed as gastric submucosal tumor (SMT). However, we encountered two rare cases where extrinsic lesions were misdiagnosed as gastric SMTs.
Case Summary: We describe two cases of gastric SMT-like protrusions initially misdiagnosed as gastric SMTs by the abdominal contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
This study employs cold-wall chemical vapor deposition to achieve the growth of MoTethin films on 4-inch sapphire substrates. A two-step growth process is utilized, incorporating MoOand Te powder sources under low-pressure conditions to synthesize MoTe. The resultant MoTethin films exhibit a dominant 1T' phase, as evidenced by a prominent Raman peak at 161 cm.

Surgical resection is currently the mainstay of treatment, with an emphasis on sphincter preservation.
Case Summary: We present details of two young patients with a history of persistent hematochezia diagnosed with colorectal cavernous hemangioma by endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).

Hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) are critical regulator contributing to the onset and progression of liver fibrosis. Chronic liver injury triggers HSCs to undergo vast changes and trans-differentiation into a myofibroblast HSCs, the mechanism remains to be elucidated. This study investigated that the involvement of hydroxymethylase TET1 (ten-eleven translocation 1) in HSC activation and liver fibrosis.

Our successes were accomplished through the collective dedicated efforts of staffs, Editorial Board Members, and Peer Reviewers. Among these 47 journals, 7 are included in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and 6 in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).

The focus of this study was to optimize the quaternary air vane angle (α) through detailed analysis of the temperature and flow fields, turbulence-chemistry interactions, char burnout, and NOx formation in a carefully scaled 1:5 dual-swirl burner. The results showed that with increasing α, the high-temperature flame region was narrowed and the peak temperature was reduced along with the broadened inner recirculation zone and the shrunken external recirculation zone due to better pulverized fuel-oxidant blending and reinforced convective heat transfer.

However, the precise association between the regulation of m5C and the progression, metastasis, and prognosis of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) has not yet been fully explored. Data from 545 HNSCC patients obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database were analyzed.

Squalene epoxidase (SQLE) is a crucial regulator of ferroptosis and has been associated with promoting cell growth and invasion in different types of human cancers. This study aimed to investigate the functional significance of SQLE in BC and elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms involved.

The gut microbiota is possibly involved in PCOS, while the association remains unclear. The comprehensive analysis combining gut microbiota with PCOS typical symptoms was performed to analyze the role of gut microbiota in PCOS in this study.

Background: Identifying cardioembolic stroke is important for the decision-making of endovascular treatment and anticoagulation therapy. We aimed to explore the features of cardioembolic stroke on 4-dimensional (4D) computed tomography angiography (4D-CTA) and assess whether these features can assist in classifying stroke etiology.
Methods: In this retrospective study, we analyzed the images of 294 patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) from July 2020 to February 2022 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, which had been consecutively collected.
Circular RNA (CircRNA) is a type of non-coding RNAs in which both ends are covalently linked. Researchers have demonstrated that many circRNAs can act as biomarkers of diseases. However, traditional experimental methods for circRNA-disease associations identification are labor-intensive.

We simultaneously analyzed the metabolic profiling of four representative AZS to provide new insights into the etiologies of AZS.
Method: Seminal plasma samples were collected from healthy control (HC; n = 30) and four AZS induced by varicocele (VA, n = 30), obesity (OA, n = 22), reproductive system infections (RA; n = 17) and idiopathic (IA, n = 30), respectively, and were analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) silence genes by binding to messenger RNAs, whereas long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) act as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) that can relieve miRNA silencing effects and upregulate target gene expression. The ceRNA association between lncRNAs and miRNAs has been a research hotspot due to its medical importance, but it is challenging to verify experimentally. In this paper, we propose a novel deep learning scheme, i.
