The development of photocatalytic systems with an electron tandem transport channel represents a promising avenue for improving the utilization of photogenerated electrons and holes despite encountering significant challenges. In this study, ZnInS (Sv-ZIS) with sulfur vacancies was fabricated using a solvothermal technique to create defect energy levels. Subsequently, CuP nanoparticles were coupled onto the surface of Sv-ZIS, forming a CuP/Sv-ZIS p-n heterojunction with an electron tandem transport channel.

SEU-Net: multi-scale U-Net with SE attention mechanism for liver occupying lesion CT image segmentation.

Liver occupying lesions can profoundly impact an individual's health and well-being. To assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal areas in the liver, we propose a novel network named SEU-Net by introducing the channel attention mechanism into U-Net for accurate and automatic liver occupying lesion segmentation. We design the Residual U-block with Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE-RSU), which is to add the Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) attention mechanism at the residual connections of the Residual U-blocks (RSU, the component unit of U-Net).

Cities are at the heart of climate change mitigation as they account for over 70% of global carbon emissions. However, cities vary in their energy systems and socioeconomic capacities to transition to renewable energy. To address this heterogeneity, this study proposes an Energy Transition Index (ETI) specifically designed for cities, and applies it to track the progress of energy transition in Chinese cities.

A case report of hepatitis B virus reactivation 19 months after cessation of chemotherapy with rituximab.

A 72-year-old woman presented to our hospital with elevation of serum transaminases. Her blood tests showed the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) negative. Rituximab plus cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (R-CHOP) were given for the diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

A Step-scheme (S-scheme) heterojunction can regulate the directional migration of powerful photogenerated carriers and realize high photocatalytic activity. Herein, we propose a novel dimensional matched S-scheme photocatalyst comprising of two-dimensional (2D) TiO nanosheets and 2D BiO nanosheets for environmental and energy applications, such as water sterilization and water splitting. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), electron paramagnetic resonance, in-situ irradiated XPS and theoretical calculations provided strong evidence that the photocarrier migration in the TiO/BiO composite followed the S-scheme mode, which efficiently prevented the recombination of powerful photocarriers, thereby enabling the heterojunction with a strong redox ability for producing abundant reactive oxygen species.

Objectives: To investigate the factors and virological significance of serum hepatitis B virus (HBV) pregenomic RNA (pgRNA) status after long-term antiviral therapy with nucleos(t)ide analogues (NAs) in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB).

Methods: In total, 51 treatment-naïve patients with CHB were included in the study. Clinical data were collected at baseline, during 5 years and at year 10 of NA treatment.

Chinese guidelines on the management of liver cirrhosis (abbreviated version).

Based on reviews of the literature and experts' consensus, the Chinese Society of Hepatology developed guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of liver cirrhosis, in order to improve clinical practice. In addition to what has been covered in previously published guidelines on the management of cirrhosis complications, these guidelines add new sections and provide updates. The guidelines emphasize the early diagnosis of the cause and assessment of complications.
