Efficient oral coassembly strategies have attracted increasing attention for the preferable co-delivery of multiple nutraceuticals. Inspired by superior transport tendencies of the intestinal glucose transporter 2 (GLUT2) to fructose-modified biopolymers, this study fabricated the coassemblies consisting of fructose-modified chitosan (Fru-CS) shell and disulfonic acid-modified γ-cyclodextrin (BA-γ-CD) core to effectively co-deliver hydrophilic egg white oligopeptides (EWOP) and hydrophobic curcumin (Cur). The non-covalent interactions-driven coassemblies exhibited the admirable nanoscale colloidal features and nutraceuticals (EWOP/Cur) co-loading capacity (20.

However, the Americas account for more than 80% of global soybean production, so European and Asia swine production largely depends on soybean imports. The use of safe and functional unconventional feed sources can effectively alleviate worldwide protein shortage problems.

It remains unknown whether adjusting feeding frequency could effectively regulate both skeletal muscle development and whole-body lipid metabolism and thus affect carcass composition and feed conversion efficiency. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the effects of feeding frequency on muscle growth, fat deposition, cecal microbiota composition, and bile acid composition in finishing pigs.

Bioactive peptides rich in branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) are an effective way to alleviate fatigue conditions, but the deep mechanism remains unclear. This study investigated the anti-fatigue effect of branched-chain amino acid-enriched egg white peptides (BEWPs) through the gut-muscle axis by gut bacteria and untargeted metabolomic analyses. The results demonstrated that BEWPs enhanced exercise endurance and strength by also promoting gastrocnemius development in mice.

Among these properties, immunomodulatory activities, which include activating immune cells to strengthen immunity, constitute the major functions of the immune system. To obtain SeNPs with enhanced immunomodulation, ovalbumin peptide (OP) was used as a stabilizer, yielding OP-SeNPs.

The incorporation of EWP significantly improved the texture properties and freeze-thaw stability through disulfide bonds and homogeneous networks in comparison to SPI emulsion gels. However, swelling ratio of emulsion gels at SPI:EWP ratios of 3:1 and 2:1 decreased due to disruption of SPI network continuity.

This work involved the development of a supramolecular self-assembly originating from entropy- and enthalpy-driven dynamic covalent bonding on Schiff bases between egg white-derived peptide Gln-Ile-Gly-Leu-Phe (QIGLF) and glutaraldehyde (GA), denoted QIGLF-GA. The assembly exhibited outstanding assembly characteristics and multiwavelength autofluorescence properties.

We explored the assembly of egg white protein (EWP) with carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) at varying degrees of substitution (DS). The results demonstrated that EWP, functioning as polyampholytes, assembled with CMC through SPB, driven by hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions.

For this reason, a colorimetric aptasensor based on an entropy-catalyzed amplification system was developed for the ultrasensitive and selective determination of acetamiprid. In the absence of acetamiprid, the aptamer and cDNA form a double-stranded structure.

After modification with polyphenols, the skeleton of gel became more delicate, which improved the hardness and cohesion of DNEG. This transformation was attributed to the shift from hydrophobic interactions to hydrogen and covalent bonds.

A total of 540 ducks (20-days-old) were randomly divided into 3 groups with 3 replicates and 60 ducks per replicate. The 40-d experiment involved 3 diet treatments: a complete diet (CD), 50% paddy rice + 50% complete diet (RCD), and 100% paddy rice diet (RD).

The results revealed that different batches of EWPs had good stability relating to antioxidant activity. With a similar sequence to confirmed antioxidant peptides, four EWPs (QMDDFE, WDDDPTD, DEPDPL, and FKDEDTQ) were identified withhigh repetition rates, and their potential to repair oxidative damage was investigated.
