Comparison of zero echo time MRI with T1-weighted fast spin echo for the recognition of sacroiliac joint structural lesions using CT as the reference standard.

Objectives: To evaluate the diagnostic performance of zero echo time (ZTE) MRI in the depiction of structural lesions of sacroiliac joints (SIJs) in patients with the suspicion of sacroiliitis compared with T1-weighted fast spin echo (T1 FSE), using CT as the reference standard.

Methods: Forty patients with suspicion of sacroiliitis underwent both CT and MR scans of SIJs with 80 SIJs (160 bone articular surfaces) included for analysis. Two readers independently scored SIJs for structural lesions on CT and MR images.

The informal economy at times of COVID-19 pandemic.

We provide a first view of vulnerable informal economy after the blows from COVID-19, using transaction-level business data of around 80 million offline micro businesses (OMBs) owners from the largest Fintech company in China and employing machine learning method for causal inference. We find that the OMBs activities in China experienced an immediate and dramatic drop of 50% during the trough. The businesses had rebounded to around 80% of where they should be seven weeks after the COVID-19 outbreak, but had remained at this level until the end of our time window.

Immobilization and release of colloids are important for colloids-facilitated migrations, and in the safety assessment of geological disposal for high-level radioactive waste, the association between the immobilization and release process of the bentonite colloids with selenite migration has not been well revealed. In this work, the migration of bentonite colloids under different conditions is evaluated, and the effects of colloids immobilization and release on selenite migration are studied. In addition, the cases of in-migration (colloids are immobilized in the quartz sand, and then selenite migrates through the quartz sand with immobilized colloids) and co-migration (colloids bearing selenite are immobilized in the quartz sand) are investigated.

The study also examined the relationships between psychosocial stressors and adolescents' EBPs, and explored the potential explanatory value of loneliness for any associations observed.

Patterns of Father Involvement and Child Development among Families with Low Income.

This study examined patterns of father involvement and their relations with social, behavioral, and cognitive development among low-income children < 5 years. Latent class analysis on data from 2650 fathers (Mage = 29.35 years) in the Supporting Healthy Marriages program revealed four father involvement patterns: (1) High positive involvement (48%); (2) engaged but harsh discipline (42%); (3) low cognitive stimulation (8%); and (4) lower involvement (2%).

Visualizing Nascent RNA by Exploring DNA-Templated Oxidative Amination of 4-Thiouridine.

Tracking and mapping the nascent RNA molecules in cells is essential for deciphering embryonic development and neuronal differentiation. Here, we utilized 4-thiouridine (sU) as a metabolic tag to label nascent RNA and developed a fluorescence imaging method based on the DNA-templated oxidative amination (DTOA) reaction of sU. The DTOA reaction occurred between amine-modified DNA and sU-containing RNA with high sequence specificity and chemical selectivity.

Automatic analysis of fetal heart and related components in fetal echocardiography can help cardiologists to reach a diagnosis for Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). Previous studies mainly focused on cardiac chamber segmentation, while few researches deal with the cardiac component detection. In this paper, we tackle the task of simultaneous detection of the fetal heart and descending aorta in four-chamber view of fetal echocardiography, which is useful to analyze some kinds of CHD, such as left/right atrial isomerism, dextroversion of heart, etc.

Mental Health Problems Among School-Aged Children After School Reopening: A Cross-Sectional Study During the COVID-19 Post-pandemic in East China.

Most studies on mental health problems caused by COVID-19 crisis in children were limited to the period of home quarantine. It remained unclear what adverse impact of the psychosocial stressors caused by school reopening, as well as the transitions in daily activities and social interactions had on mental health in children. A total of 6400 students in primary schools were enrolled in a cross-sectional study conducted in East China, between June 26 and July 6, 2020, when schools reopened.
