Background: Pyroptosis is closely associated with chemotherapeutic drugs and immune response. Here, we investigated whether oxaliplatin, a key drug in FOLFOX-hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy (FOLFOX-HAIC), induces pyroptosis in hepatoma cells and enhances antitumor immunity after tumor cell death.
Methods: Hepatoma cells were treated with oxaliplatin.
To investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of collagen peptides, collagen peptides from cod skin were prepared to assess their in vitro anti-inflammatory effects and in vivo efficacy against ulcerative colitis. The results show that collagen peptides demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines and reducing oxidative stress in vitro. In vivo, collagen peptides significantly reduced colonic tissue damage, modulated serum cytokine balance, increased the expression of tight junction proteins ZO-1, Occludin, and Claudin-1 in colon tissue, enhanced the abundance of beneficial bacteria while reducing harmful bacteria, and restored microbial balance.

However, many unsatisfactory products are scrapped because of a lack of adequate performance. The product should be improved and upgraded innovatively, and the existing upgradable products may create more economic benefits for the longer product life cycles.

From early development through to ageing, the vascular extracellular matrix undergoes various biochemical and biomechanical alterations in response to diverse environmental cues and exerts precise regulatory control over vessel remodelling. Advances in novel technologies that enable the comprehensive evaluation of extracellular matrix components and cell-matrix interactions have led to the emergence of therapeutic strategies that specifically target this fine-tuned network.

Sugemule-7 (SGML-7) decoction, a traditional Mongolian herbal prescription, has long been used for treating OP, but its components and mechanisms of action remain unclear. The study identified the main compounds of SGML-7 using UHPLC-Q Exactive MS and explored the multi-target mechanisms of SGML-7 in OP through network pharmacology and molecular docking.

The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of allylestrenol (AT) and progesterone in improving pregnancy outcomes in RSA. From June 2021 to June 2024, 480 participants were randomly assigned to an AT, Progesterone, or Control group.

We found the highly expressed RNA-binding motif protein 47 (RBM47) in PC progression. The RBM47 expression was negatively correlated with natural killer (NK) cell infiltrate in PC.

This study investigated the long- term effects of exposure to a patient-derived GluN1-specific monoclonal antibody (mAb) during a critical developmental period (from postnatal day 3 to day 12) in mice. We observed long-lasting sensory-motor deficits characteristic of NMDAR-AE, along with permanent changes in callosal axons within the primary somatosensory cortex (S1) in adulthood, including increased terminal branch complexity.

This study employs quantitative computed tomography (CT) to quantify LFC and aims to investigate the correlation and dose-response relationship between UHR levels and LFC in Chinese adults. Based on the health check-up data from 2021 at Henan Provincial People's Hospital, China, the objective of this cross-sectional study was to investigate the association between UHR levels and LFC among individuals of different genders.

The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical reception training conducted by standard patients (SPs) and dental simulators among undergraduate students.
Materials And Methods: In the first week of the internship, sixty-five 5-year undergraduate students were divided into two groups: SP group, which received traditional theoretical training along with clinical reception training, and control group that only received traditional theoretical training.
Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a prevalent yet manageable respiratory condition. However, treatments presently used normally have side effects and cannot cure COPD, making it urgent to explore effective medications. The ginsenoside Rg3 (Rg3) has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties and can improve COPD.

Aims: This study aimed to investigate the proteome and identify potential biomarkers for age-related sarcopenia.
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of deep learning features derived from multi-sequence magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in determining the O-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter methylation status among glioblastoma patients.
Methods: Clinical, pathological, and MRI data of 356 glioblastoma patients (251 methylated, 105 unmethylated) were retrospectively examined from the public dataset The Cancer Imaging Archive. Each patient underwent preoperative multi-sequence brain MRI scans, which included T1-weighted imaging (T1WI) and contrast-enhanced T1-weighted imaging (CE-T1WI).
Objectives: The Shh pathway may shed new light on developing new cell death inhibitors for the therapy of ischemic stroke. We aimed to examine whether the Shh co-reporter SMO or its agonist halcinonide can upregulate Bcl-2 to suppress neuronal cell death, ultimately improving behavioral deficits and reducing cerebral infarction in an ischemic stroke model.
Methods: Halcinonide or genetic manipulation of SMO was conducted in PC12 cells to examine their impacts on oxidative or OGD/R stress, and the chemical, along with AAV-SMO or AAV-EGFP were tested in MCAO rats to investigate their potential protective effects against neuronal damages due to cerebral I/R injury.

The early intrauterine environment of mothers during pregnancy significantly affects the metabolic health of their offspring. Existing studies suggest that poor maternal nutrition during pregnancy increases the risk of obesity or diabetes in offspring, so it is highly important to intervene during pregnancy to prevent metabolic disorders in mothers and their offspring. Polyphenols with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties are found in many foods and have protective effects on obesity, diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease.

The primary causes typically involve peptic ulcer disease, infections (such as pyogenic, amoebic or tuberculosis), or iatrogenic factors (like post transarterial chemoembolization or radiotherapy). Massive gastrointestinal hemorrhage following HGF is extremely rare, with iodine-125 (I) seed migration to the stomach through HGF not previously documented.
