Background: Older adults with multiple chronic conditions face significant challenges with their health. Patient Priorities Care (PPC) is an Age-Friendly approach that explores 'what matters' by identifying values, care preferences, and health priorities, and aligning healthcare based on patients' health outcome goals.
Methods: Patient priorities care was implemented in four clinical settings (Hospital in Home, a transitional care case management program and in two embedded clinics within specialty care settings) within a large academically affiliated Veteran Affairs hospital system.
Background And Aims: Low back pain (LBP) with radiculopathy is a significant global health concern, often leading to reduced quality of life and work absenteeism. Steroid injection using the caudal epidural route offers a non-surgical approach to the management of chronic LBP with radiculopathy. Although fluoroscopy-guided injections are the standard, ultrasound-assisted injection is emerging as an alternative.

Manyata is a quality assurance and improvement programme launched in 2016 by the Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) that provides training, mentorship and accreditation to private maternity facilities. We aimed to understand participants' motivations for joining or not joining, the perceived value of Manyata and recommendations for sustainment and scale.

However, how cytoreductive surgery in the metastatic setting modulates the immune responses in patients, especially in the context of immune checkpoint therapy (ICT), is not understood. We report the first prospective, pilot, non-comparative clinical trial (NCT02210117) to evaluate the feasibility, clinical benefits, and immunologic changes of combining three different ICT-containing strategies with cytoreductive surgery or biopsy for patients with metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

This study aimed to explore the global practice patterns of the diagnosis and management of PE.
Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional, global, online survey on PE was conducted using a questionnaire developed by an international cohort of experts.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to quantify analgesic use following alveolar cleft bone grafting (ABG) utilizing a posterior iliac crest (PIC) donor site.
Design: This is a prospective cohort study of consecutive patients that underwent ABG with PIC in a 10 month period from November 2022 to September 2023.
Setting: Tertiary care free-standing pediatric hospital.

The purpose of this study was to compare early airway, feeding and growth outcomes between these treatments.
Methods: This is a bicentric retrospective cohort study from 2015-2021 including infants with RS treated with MDO or PEBP before 6 months-of-age with pre- and post-treatment sleep studies and follow-up at least through age 1-year.
Our study employed a six-step meta-synthesis approach to understand quality aspects of virtual healthcare trajectories and identify effective strategies for older adults with preventable chronic conditions across the world. Review of twenty-one articles revealed four key themes: functionality of virtual healthcare, equity in service delivery, satisfaction with care, and cost-effectiveness. Despite the challenges posed by technological and clinical complexities, virtual healthcare initiatives have significantly improved accessibility and availability of health services, thereby reducing disparities.

A potentially vulnerable category for SARS-CoV-2 infection was identified in patients with other medical conditions. Intriguingly, parallels exist between COVID-19 and cancer at the pathophysiological level, suggesting a possible connection between them.

In the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), approximately 50% of Veterans enrolled in VA health care are aged 65 and older, driving an imperative to provide timely, Age-Friendly care through a broad continuum of services. VA has taken a multifaceted approach to shift Long-Term Services and Supports to promote aging in place through innovation pilots, expansion of Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and adoption of Age-Friendly Health Systems (AFHS) practices [or "framework"].

One implied strategy to reduce its impact is abstaining from digital media use. This state-of-the-art review summarizes the most recent studies on reducing or abstaining from digital media use, including social media (ie, "digital detox") and its effect on well-being to inform parents, educators, schools, policymakers, and the public when taking action.

Alongside many approaches and regulatory mechanisms, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNA) are finding a significant place in gene regulation, suggesting an involvement in various cellular processes and pathophysiology. LncRNAs are regulated by many transcription factors, including SMAR1 and p53, which are tumor suppressor genes.
