Associations between perceived care quality, self-care behaviors, and glycemic control in Chinese adults with type 2 diabetes under the national essential public health services program.

Background: The rising prevalence of Type 2 diabetes (T2D) in China poses a critical health challenge, necessitating effective management strategies. The National Essential Public Health Services Program (NEPHSP), initiated in 2009, focuses on equitable access to health services, including T2D management. This study investigates the associations between perceived care quality, self-care behaviors, and glycemic control in Chinese adults with T2D under NEPHSP, particularly examining the mediating role of self-care behaviors.

Mediating effect of BMI on the relation of dietary patterns and glycemic control inT2DM patients: results from China community-based cross-sectional study.

Objective: To analyze the effects of different dietary types on in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and determine the mediating effects of Body Mass Index (BMI) on dietary type with Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG), Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) on the associations in T2DM.

Methods: Data of community-based cross-sectional study with 9602 participants including 3623 men and 5979 women were collected from the project 'Comprehensive Research in prevention and Control of Diabetes mellitus (CRPCD)' conducted by Jiangsu Center for Disease Control and Prevention in 2018. The dietary data were collected from a food frequency qualitative questionnaire (FFQ) and dietary patterns were derived through Latent Class Analysis (LCA).

Association of Generalized and Abdominal Obesity with Diabetic Retinopathy in Chinese Type 2 Diabetic Patients.

Aims: Obesity has been proposed to promote the progression of diabetic retinopathy (DR), but previous studies have not shown consistent results. We aimed to explore the association between generalized and abdominal obesity and DR risk, and to assess the joint effect of these two different types of obesity on DR development.

Methods: A nested case-control study within a large prospective study on type 2 diabetes was conducted in communities in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, China.

Background: Pesticide poisoning is an important issue in rural China, and is also a major public health problem that affects the health of farmers. The purpose of this paper is to explore the epidemiology of pesticide poisoning in Jiangsu Province, and to put forward the relevant suggestions on the logical and discerning utilization of the pesticides.

Methods: According to the data of the pesticide poisoning report card established by the health hazard detection information system, the cases of pesticide poisoning in Jiangsu Province from 2006 to 2018 were exported to Excel, and the database of pesticide poisoning was established.

Age at menarche and age at natural menopause as predictors of glycemic control in type 2 diabetic patients.

Objective: To investigate the influence of age at menarche (AM) and age at natural menopause (ANM) on glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Familial History of Diabetes is Associated with Poor Glycaemic Control in Type 2 Diabetics: A Cross-sectional Study.

To investigate the association of familial history (FH) of diabetes with the glycaemic control status of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D), a cross-sectional study using stratified cluster sampling was conducted with 20,340 diabetic patients in Jiangsu, China. In total, 21.3% of the subjects reported a FH of diabetes.

Evaluation of common variants in and the risk of type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance in Han Chinese.

Abnormally increased skeletal-muscle-specific E3 ubiquitin ligase (MG53) is associated with the inhibition of insulin signalling and insulin resistance (IR) in animal models. Four community-based studies of Han Chinese populations were included in this study to test the association of variants of and type 2 diabetes (T2D). The results showed that rs7186832 and rs12929077 in MG53 were significantly associated with T2D and impaired fasting glucose (IFG) of females in the discovery-stage case-control study and cohort study respectively of rural population but not in the replication sample of urban population.

Correlation between Trop2 and amphiregulin coexpression and overall survival in gastric cancer.

Gastric cancer (GC) is a multistep and multistage disease and the majority of GC cells could overexpressed one or more oncogenes. Trop2 and amphiregulin (AREG) are both overexpressed in various epithelial cell cancers and have the role in the increases tumor cells division and metastasis. However, little is known about the function and correlation of two oncogenes coexpressed in GC.

Prognostic value of decreased expression of RBM4 in human gastric cancer.

RNA-binding motif 4 (RBM4) is a multifunctional protein that participates in regulating alternative splicing and mRNA translation. Its reduced expression has been associated with poor overall survival in lung cancer, breast cancer and ovarian cancer. We assessed RBM4 protein expression levels with immunohistochemistry in tissue microarrays containing malignant gastric cancer tissues and benign tissues from 813 patients.

Trop2 is overexpressed in gastric cancer and predicts poor prognosis.

The cell surface protein Trop2 is overexpressed in a variety of human cancers. Trop2 expression increases tumor development and metastasis and reduces patient survival. However, little is known about the role of Trop2 expression and its prognostic value in gastric cancer (GC), particularly in Chinese populations.
