Background: The objective of this study was to assess the risk of emergency cesarean deliveries (CDs) and adverse neonatal/maternal outcomes according to the planned gestational age at delivery (GAD) for elective CD.

Methods: The study population consisted of term singleton pregnant women who were booked for elective CD and were subsequently delivered at term by CD, after excluding cases with a trial of labor. The relationship between the planned GAD, risk of emergency CD prior to planned date, and adverse neonatal/maternal outcomes were determined.

Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the embryonic survival, development, and expressions of cryoinjury- or antioxidant-related genes in once, twice, or three-time vitrified mouse preimplantation embryos. Study desisgn: Six hundred 8-cell stage embryos were obtained from 60 female mice and randomly assigned to control and three experimental groups. Embryos were vitrified by indirect methods The developmental outcomes such as survival rate, blastocyst-forming rate, and the percentage of hatching/hatched blastocyst were assessed.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical implications of coagulopathy in women with post-partum hemorrhage (PPH).

Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 262 consecutive women referred for management of PPH at a single tertiary hospital between 2009 and 2012. We reviewed medical records, including vital signs at arrival, laboratory values (hemoglobin, prothrombin time international normalized ratio [PT-INR], platelet, fibrinogen), and total amount of transfused blood product.

Background: There are currently three ongoing studies on less radical surgery in cervical cancer: ConCerv, GOG-278, and SHAPE. The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of the criteria used in ongoing studies retrospectively and suggest a new, simplified criterion in microscopic Stage IB1 cervical cancer.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed in 125 Stage IB1 cervical cancer patients who had no clinically visible lesions and were allotted based on microscopic findings after conization.

Objective: To investigate the incidence of actinomyces-like organisms in routine cervical smears of Korean women and to evaluate its association with the development of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) in these women.

Methods: The results of cervical smears between 2011 and 2012 at a single university hospital were searched. If positive for actinomyces-like organisms, the medical record of the patient was searched and development of PID was followed.

Objective: To estimate the incidence of, and identify risk factors for, spontaneous expulsion of the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS).

Methods: Pre-insertion characteristics for 481 women who received the LNG-IUS at a single institution in the Republic of Korea between 2003 and 2011 were analyzed retrospectively. The median duration of follow-up was 13.

Objective: The aim of this study is to identify a patient group with a low-risk of parametrial involvement (PMI) in Stage IB1 cervical cancer using preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) parameters.

Methods: In total, 190 Stage IB1 cervical cancer patients with clinically visible lesions who had undergone Type C2 radical hysterectomy and preoperative MRI were included in this study. Clinical records, pathology reports, and preoperative MRI findings were reviewed retrospectively.
