The bipyridyl tantalum complex (2,6-PrCHO)Ta(bipy) () is synthesized by the reaction of (2,6-PrCHO)TaCl () and 2,2'-bipyridine in the presence of excess potassium graphite (KC). Complex coordinates readily with pyridine and 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine (dmap) to form Lewis base adducts (2,6-PrCHO)Ta(bipy)(L) (L = py (), dmap ()), and it exhibits rich redox reactivity toward small molecules: (a) single electron transfer (SET) occurs upon exposure of to phenyl sulfide or selenide dimer, giving the open-shell, bipy-centered radical complexes (2,6-PrCHO)Ta(bipy)(PhE) (E = S (), Se ()). (b) Regioselective C-C σ-bond formation via radical coupling is observed in the SET reaction of and aldehydes, ketones, or imines to furnish insertion products -, namely, sterically more crowded benzophenone, acetophenone, 2,6-dichlorobenzaldehyde, and benzophenone imine couple with C6 or C6' of bipy in , respectively, whereas sterically less hindered benzaldehyde, cyclohexanone, and benzylideneaniline couple with C2 or C2' of bipy, respectively.

Consequently, addressing the treatment of marine aquaculture wastewater is imperative. Conventional physicochemical treatment methods have various limitations, whereas microalgae-based biological treatment technologies have gained increasing attention in the field of water purification due to their ability to efficiently absorb organic matter from mariculture wastewater and convert CO₂ into biomass products.

However, early typing of leukemia remains challenging due to the lack of highly sensitive and specific analytical tools. Herein, we propose a SERS-based platform for the classification of acute lymphoblastic T-cell leukemia (T-ALL) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) through the combination of machine learning and microfluidic chips.

Hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1α) plays important roles in breast cancer progression, but its direct impact on lung metastasis remains unclear. Herein, in this study, we investigated the role of HIF-1α in breast cancer lung metastasis and the potential of targeting it for therapeutic benefit.

Zebrafish embryos were randomly administered with control, negative control, TREM2 knockdown, AlCl, TREM2 knockdown + AlCl, AlNPs, and TREM2 knockdown + AlNPs, wherein AlCl and AlNPs were 50 mg/L and TREM2 knockdown was achieved by microinjecting lentiviral-containing TREM2 inhibitors into the yolk sac. We assessed development, neurobehavior, histopathology, ultrastructural structure, neurotransmitters (AChE, DA), SOD, genes of TREM2 and neurodevelopment (α1-tubulin, syn2a, mbp), and AD-related proteins and genes.

However, the standard tripropylamine (TPrA) coreactant for Ru(bpy)Cl, the most widely studied and used ECL system, is highly toxic. Despite extensive research on alternative coreactants, they often fall short in poor efficiency.

One such augmentation lies in harnessing polarization information from light reflected or scattered off surfaces like bees, which can disclose unique characteristics imperceptible to the human eyes. While creating polarization-sensitive optoelectronic synapses presents an intriguing avenue for equipping NVS with this capability, integrating functions like polarization sensitivity, photodetection, and synaptic operations into a singular device has proven challenging.

The general formula of the structure is a [Ln(3-N,N-DMBA)(5,5'-DM-2,2'-bipy)]·2(3-N,N-DMHBA), Ln = (Gd(), Tb()), 3-N,N-DMBA = 3-Dimethylamino benzoate, 5,5'-DM-2,2'-bipy = 5,5'-dimethyl-2,2' bipyridine. Both complexes exhibited dimeric structures based on X-ray diffraction analysis.

In this study, we designed a two-photon fluorescent probe CD-NA that could simultaneously detect ONOO and GSH dual-fluorophore and dual-site properties. CD-NA shows different fluorescence responses to ONOO (annihilated red fluorescence) and GSH (enhanced green emission) with high specificity and sensitivity.

Although the role of extracellular vesicles in stabilizing atherosclerotic plaques is well established, the effect of circulating exosomes on plaque formation is still unknown. Here, we explored the effect of exosomes on atherosclerosis based on the function that exosomes can act on intercellular communication.
