Objective: Bipolar affective disorder (BAD) is a mood disorder with high morbidity and mortality. Quetiapine can be used in the treatment of patients with BAD; however, the precise administration regimen of quetiapine in these patients is still unknown. In this study, a population pharmacokinetic (PPK) model of quetiapine in patients with BAD was constructed based on model-informed precision dosing (MIPD) and real-world clinical data and an optimal initial dose of quetiapine in these patients was recommended.

Objective: Although quetiapine has been approved for use in schizophrenic patients, its individualized dosage regimen remains unclear, especially with respect to drug-drug interactions (DDIs). Thus, we investigated the potential DDIs and optimal initial dosage of quetiapine in schizophrenic patients based on population pharmacokinetics (PPK).

Methods: Ninety-six schizophrenic patients treated with quetiapine were included to establish the PPK model, which also includes coadministration of multiple drugs.

The underlying mechanisms by which circular RNAs (circRNAs) regulate non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) progression remain elusive. This study investigated the role of circRNA circTTBK2 in NSCLC tumorigenesis. Quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction analysis of circTTBK2 in NSCLC tissues and cell lines was performed.

Purpose: To assess the safety and efficacy of local intra-gestational sac methotrexate injection followed by dilation and curettage (D&C) in treating cesarean scar pregnancies (CSP).

Method: Medical records of CSP patients treated with local intra-gestational sac methotrexate injection followed by dilation and curettage were analyzed at the Maternal and Child Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

Results: Thirty-one patients were included in this study.

is a common cause of infection in immunocompromised patients in Southeast Asia and Southern China. The pathogenicity of depends on the ability of the fungus to survive the cytotoxic processes of the host immune system and grow inside host macrophages. These mechanisms that allow to survive macrophage-induced death are poorly understood.

Objective: To investigate the value of carbon nanoparticles in identifying sentinel lymph nodes in early-stage cervical cancer.

Methods: From January 2014 to January 2016, 40 patients with cervical cancer stage IA2-IIA, based on the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) 2009 criteria, were included in this study. The normal cervix around the tumor was injected with a total of 1 mL of carbon nanoparticles (CNP)at 3 and 9 o'clock.

In order to understand the community structure characteristics of Bacillariophyta and its controlling factors in reservoirs located in the Southeast, China, in the geographic background of hills landscape and humid climate, 18 reservoirs were investigated in June, 2015, during the period with high risk of diatom bloom, covering water quality, and the community structures of phytoplankton. The correlations between Bacillariophyta and other planktons with nutrients, water depth, storage capacity, etc. were analyzed.

Based on the data of high density spatial sampling in July 2013, we analyzed the spatial distribution pattern of nutrients and estimated their amount during bloom season in Lake Taihu to discuss the correlation of algal bloom in different types of ecological water and nutrients in large shallow lake and the representative of its sampling sites. The research showed that nutrients and chlorophyll-a concentration (CHL) in Lake Taihu tended to reduce from northwest to southeast in general during bloom season. Nitrogen was mainly present in dissolved form, accounting for 76.

Objective: To investigate the effect of AG490, a Janus kinase 2 inhibitor, on epithelial-myofibroblast transdifferentiation induced by interleukin-1β (IL-1β).

Methods: Cultured human renal tubular epithelial cell line (HKCs) were divided into three groups: blank control group, IL-1β (5 ng/ml) group and AG490 group (IL-1β 5 ng/ml+AG490 10 μmol/L). The cells in all groups were collected at 24, 48, 72 hours after intervention.

Objective: To explore the effect of high fat diet on the expression of sterol regulatory element binding protein-1 (SREBP-1), transforming growth factor-beta1 (TGF-beta1) and alpha-smooth muscle actin (alpha-SMA) in renal tubular cells and extracellular matrix accumulation in Wistar rats.

Methods: The Wistar rats were treated with high fat diet for 12 weeks and renal lipid deposit was detected by the method of Oil Red O staining. The immunohistochemistry and Western blot were used to investigate the expression of SREBP-1, TGF-beta1, alpha-SMA and fibronectin (FN) protein.

Objective: To investigate the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), human mut-l homologue 1 (hMLH1) and human mut-s homologue 2 (hMSH2) proteins in human paired gastric carcinoma (GC) and adjacent normal mucosa, and analyze their relationship with microsatellite instability (MSI).

Methods: The protein expressions were examined by western blotting. Five MSI loci were assessed by PCR.
