Background: Myrmecophytes, characterized by specialized structures like hollow stems that facilitate mutualistic relationships with ants, serve as an important system for studying ant-plant interactions and the adaptation mechanisms. Caularthron and Myrmecophila are exemplary myrmecophytes within Orchidaceae. Previous studies suggested a genetic relationship between these two genera, placing them within Laeliinae (Epidendreae), yet the precise phylogenetic positioning remained uncertain.

Given the ambiguous identification of germplasm and complex evolutionary relationships within the genus, the complete plastome of this genus (including five species) were firstly sequenced and assembled to explore their characterizations. The plastomes exhibited a typical quadripartite structure.

Control studies revealed a stepwise mechanism and that the alkoxy rearrangement was an intermolecular process.

The optimal combined modality of optimal combined modality of anti--EGFR monoclonal antibodies, induction chemotherapy (ICT), concurrent chemotherapy and radiotherapy for NPC remains poorly defined. None of previous studies have developed subsequent treatment strategies on the basis of stratification according to the efficacy following ICT plus anti-EGFR mAbs.

Objective: This study aims to explore the role of PPM1G in the occurrence, development and prognosis of HCC.
In this work, we found that the distribution of two specific atrazine (ATZ) oxidation products (desethyl-atrazine (DEA) and desisopropyl-atrazine (DIA)) was different in oxidation processes involving aqueous ferryl ion (Fe(IV)) species and OH. Specifically, the molar ratio of produced DEA to DIA (i.e.

Although it plays an important role in cancer formation and development, the correlation between the expression of SLC41A3 and the occurrence and prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains unclear. Therefore, this study was focused on the evaluation of the relationship between SLC41A3 and the development and prognosis of HCC.

There are currently no approved antiviral agents for the management of dengue, and recent shortcomings in its immunization called for immediate action to develop effective drugs with prophylactic ability to better manage its infection. In an attempt to discover novel antiviral sources, we identified the medicinal herb Polygonum cuspidatum (PC) as a bioactive botanical material against DENV infectivity.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) has been proven to increase the risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, obesity, and diabetes. If people would like to know whether they are suffering from this sleep disorder, they need to go to particular hospital with which a sleep center that could perform polysomnography (PSG); however, for most people, this is not convenient. Consequently, the goal of this study is to develop a convenient, lower priced, and easy-to-use home-based sleep monitoring system.

Our method involves calculating a set of multifractal parameters that characterize the texture features of each plant leaf image. An index, I 0, that characterizes the relation of the intra-species variances and inter-species variances is introduced.

The impact factors of enzyme load, substrate molar ratio of BME to HOSO (BME/HOSO), reaction time, reaction temperature, and pre-equilibration water activity of the enzyme on BOB content and BME conversions were investigated by single-factor experiments and then optimized using the response surface methodology (RSM). The optimum conditions were as follows: reaction temperature, 72 °C; reaction time, 7.

For Au-ceria catalysts prepared by deposition-precipitation method, the catalytic performance of water gas shift reaction was studied with different La loadings. In the complete doping range, ceria retains with its cubic fluorite structures. XRD, HRTEM and UV-Vis-DRS, studies showed that La doping can improve the activity of Au-ceria catalyst by stabilizing ceria and modifying its morphology.

A series of Au/alpha-Fe2O3 catalysts promoted with ZrO2 and Nb2O5 were prepared by parallel co-precipitation method. Detailed characterizations were conducted by techniques including UV-Vis-DRS, XPS, TEM and XRF. Results indicated that the enrichment of Au, ZrO2 and Nb2O5 on the surface induced by the strong interaction between ZrO2 and Nb2O5 kept the nanoparticles apart, delaying sintering.
