The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of acupuncture and neck-skin electrical stimulation (NSES) in treating dysphagia among patients with cerebral infarction (CI).
Patients were grouped into three treatment options: acupuncture only, NSES only, and a combination of both, and their swallow function was assessed over two weeks.
Results indicated significant improvements in swallowing scores for all groups, but the combined treatment group showed the best outcomes, with a notably higher cure rate compared to the other groups.
