Mining activities have led to significant rare earth elements (REEs) contamination and ecotoxicological risks in aquatic systems. However, the concentration, speciation, and primary controlling factors of REEs in aquatic systems in southwest China have remained unclear. This study investigated the water geochemistry, concentration, speciation, fractionation patterns, and anomalies of REEs in the surface water, shallow groundwater, and deep groundwater within a mining-impacted catchment area in southwest China across different seasons.

PSS negatively affects patient self-image and social communication and may lead to depression. Limited evidence supports the link between excessive salivation and PSS.

Methods: In this randomized controlled study, 100 female outpatients with OAB were screened. Among these patients, 86 who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the TENS combined with mirabegron treatment group and mirabegron monotherapy treatment group, with 43 patients in each group.
This study investigates the role of USP47, a deubiquitinating enzyme, in the tumor microenvironment and its impact on antitumor immune responses. Analysis of TCGA database revealed distinct expression patterns of USP47 in various tumor tissues and normal tissues. Prostate adenocarcinoma showed significant downregulation of USP47 compared to normal tissue.

Objectives: This multicenter study aimed to investigate whether association between Lp(a) and MI risk is reinforced by the presence of low-attenuation plaque (LAP) identified by coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA).
The design and synthesis of a Gd(III) metal-organic framework with the formula [Gd(BTDI)(DMF)] (JXUST-40, HBTDI = 5,5'-(benzo[][1,2,5]thiadiazole-4,7-diyl)diisophthalic acid) are reported hererin. Interestingly, a reversible single-crystal-to-single-crystal transition between JXUST-40 and {[Gd(BTDI)(HO)]·6HO} (JXUST-40a) was achieved under the stimulation of heat and solvents. Both JXUST-40 and JXUST-40a exhibited good stability when soaked in common solvents and aqueous solutions with pH values of 1-12.

Methods: This study was a prospective analysis of patient outcomes who underwent an FURS procedure for the treatment of 10-20 mm lower pole renal stones from January 2020 to November 2022. The patients were randomized into a relocation group or in situ group.
Drought is a most prevalent environmental stress affecting the productivity of rainfed wheat and maize in the semiarid Loess Plateau of China. Sustainable agricultural practices such as intercropping are important for enhancing crop performance in terms of better physiological and biochemical characteristics under drought conditions. Enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidant enzyme activities are associated with improved abiotic tolerance in crop plants, however, its molecular mechanism remains obscure.

Methods: This was a single-center retrospective clinical study including 105 cases of IgG4-positive LGBLEL and 41 cases of IgG4-negative LGBLEL. Basic information, related indicators of peripheral venous blood samples using immunoscattering turbidimetry, treatment (partial surgical excision and glucocorticoid therapy) and prognosis (recurrence and death) were collected.

Three modeling methods were used to establish a mouse primary liver cancer model, and compared them to find a more optimal modeling method. Forty 15-day-old C3H/HeN male mice were randomly divided into groups I-IV, 10 mice in each group. Group Ⅰ were not treated; Group Ⅱ were intraperitoneally injected with 25 mg/kg diethylnitrosamine (DEN) once; Group Ⅲ were intraperitoneally injected with 100 mg/kg DEN once; Group Ⅳ were intraperitoneally injected with 25 mg/kg DEN once and followed by another intraperitoneal injection of 100 mg/kg DEN at 42 days of age.

Background: Postpartum ovarian vein thrombophlebitis (POVT) is a rare but serious postpartum complication that affects mostly postpartum women. A high index of suspicion is required when faced with sudden postpartum abdominal pain.
Case Summary: A 25-year-old healthy woman who accepted a vaginal delivery procedure suffered fever (temperature 39.
Serine-threonine kinase 10 (STK10) is a member of the STE20/p21-activated kinase (PAK) family and is predominantly expressed in immune organs. Our previous reports suggested that STK10 participates in the growth and metastasis of prostate cancer via in vitro and in vivo data. However, the correlation between STK10 and the tumor microenvironment (TME) remains unclear.

However, RIG-I induces distinct cellular responses via different downstream signaling pathways depending on the cell type. To investigate the biological function and underlying molecular mechanism of RIG-I in the tumorigenesis of melanoma, we constructed RIG-I knockout, RIG-I-overexpressing B16-F10 and RIG-I knockdown A375 melanoma cell lines, and analyzed the RIG-I-mediated change in the biological behavior of tumor cells in spontaneous and poly (I:C)-induced RIG-I activation.

However, the prediction of efficacy of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in migraine is still in the early stages. This study aims to evaluate whether the combination of machine learning and amygdala-related functional features could help predict the efficacy of NSAIDs in patients with migraine without aura (MwoA).

The purpose was to assess the association between dynamic functional connectivity (dFC) of the visual cortex and clinical characteristics in migraine without aura (MwoA) patients.
Methods: We enrolled fifty-five MwoA patients as well as fifty gender- and age-matched healthy controls.
Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO NPs) are widely used in various disciplines, and it is imperative to evaluate their safety in the environment. In this paper, Bombyx mori (silkworm) was used as a model organism to evaluate the biological effects of different sized TiO NPs, taking into consideration their effect on the larval growth, cocoon shell weight, tissues, and silk produced. The effect of the different sized TiO NPs on the larval and cocoon shell weight was dose-dependent.

Even though modulation of its physical characteristics, including the band gap, by an external field will be useful for designing novel devices, experimental work is still rare. Here, we report a detailed anisotropic Raman response of GeSe flakes under uniaxial tension strain.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), which are the most common mesenchymal neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract, contain multiple types of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) that express relevant immune checkpoint proteins. However, no data have been reported on the role of BDNF in GISTs.

Zeolite has a high adsorption capacity for heavy metals, but it is difficult to separate from the medium because of its small particle size. In this study, magnetic zeolite was synthesized from natural, low-grade molybdenum ore by adding nano ferroferric oxide (saturation magnetization 83.43 emu/g) directly in the hydrothermal synthesis process, which was used to adsorb cadmium from wastewater.
