Article Synopsis
  • Liver cancer treatment often involves a mix of different methods, including a newer technique called hypofractionated and intensity-modulated radiotherapy, especially for complex cases like metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
  • A 41-year-old man with advanced metastatic HCC could not have surgery due to the late stage of his cancer, so a combined treatment approach was taken, using targeted therapies and this new radiotherapy method, resulting in tumor shrinkage.
  • The patient's condition improved, allowing him to live for 18 months without disease progression, highlighting the effectiveness of this combined treatment strategy for advanced cases of liver cancer.
