Objective: By comparing the hip arthroplasty parameters planned with the AIHIP three-dimensional simulation surgery system, this study analyzes the accuracy of the new femoral-side "shoulder-to-shoulder" artificial anatomical marker positioning method in femoral-side prosthesis implantation and the prevention of leg length discrepancy in hip arthroplasty.

Methods: A retrospective collection of 47 patients who underwent initial total hip arthroplasty at our hospital from August 2020 to December 2022 and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria was used as the study subjects. The average age was 67.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune inflammatory disease characterized by synovial inflammation, cartilage damage, and bone loss. Although effective treatments are currently lacking, early interventions hold promise for alleviating RA symptoms. Inorganic nitrates and vitamin C (VC) are essential bioactive substances abundant in fruits and vegetables.

The investigation of bonding interactions between superatoms continues to be a largely unexplored area of study. In this study, we present the synthesis and characterization of two F-type superatomic molecules [AuAg(CHNOS)(DPPB)] and [AuAg(CHNS)(DPPM)] ( and for short, respectively). The overall structures were confirmed via X-ray crystallography, revealing the horizontal expansion of the biicosahedral AuAg yielding [AuAg(CHNOS)(DPPB)] and vertical expansion of the biicosahedral AuAg yielding [AuAg(CHNS)(DPPM)].

Article Synopsis
  • Yellow catfish, a vital aquaculture species in China with an annual output of 565,000 tons, faced high mortality rates from May to July 2022 at a farm near Futou Lake, with fish showing severe symptoms like ascites and skin ulcers.
  • Researchers used PCR and sequence analyses to identify co-infection with Yellow Catfish Calicivirus (YcCV) and found abundant virus particles in infected kidney and spleen cells.
  • This study is the first to link ascites disease in yellow catfish to YcCV co-infection, indicating a potential synergistic effect between the virus and bacterial pathogens that could worsen disease severity in aquaculture.

This study investigated the dynamic changes in jasmine tea during the scenting process and explored the differences in the aroma characteristics of jasmine tea scented with single-petal jasmine "Bijian" and traditional double-petal jasmine "Shuangban." Twenty-one key volatile compounds were identified from jasmine tea by headspace solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Compared with the intensely floral and sweet fragrance characteristic of jasmine tea scented with double-petal jasmine "Shuangban," the tea scented with single-petal jasmine "Bijian" exhibited a fresher aroma, which can be attributed to the accumulation of methyl benzoate.

Objectives: We aimed to assess the effects of rooming-in kangaroo mother care (KMC) on the breastfeeding and behavioral status of full-term newborns.

Materials And Methods: Full-term newborns born from June to December 2021 were divided into Group A (n = 50) and Group B (n = 50) using a random number table. The rooming-in routine nursing intervention and KMC were given to Group A (n = 50) and Group B, respectively.

  • Animals often navigate towards rewards, and the ventral tegmental area (VTA) in the brain is key in coding for rewards, but studying it is challenging due to its location and size.
  • To improve research precision, researchers developed low-curvature microelectrode arrays (MEAs) that enhance electrode implantation in the VTA.
  • Experiments showed that rats learned to associate paths with rewards quickly, with increased VTA neuron activity during reward trials, revealing its significant role in goal-directed navigation.

Citizens play a crucial role in attaining the United Nations 2030 sustainable development goals (SDGs). There is growing awareness of the importance of understanding citizen perspectives on environmental issues, in relation to developing and maintaining sustainable lifestyles, and in addressing perceived threats to protection and restoration of ecosystems and biodiversity. This analysis sought to understand people's attitudes towards environmental conservation, how they relate to perceived threats to the countryside, and to determine how attitudes and perceived threats vary demographically and between countries.

Iron is the most abundant transition metal in the interstellar medium (ISM), and is thought to be involved in a variety of astrochemical processes. Here, we present the infrared multiple photon dissociation (IRMPD) spectra of ArFeH and their deuterated isotopologues in the region of 2240-14 000 cm. The Fe-H overtone stretching mode in ArFeH and ArFeH is observed at 3636 ± 28 cm and 3659 ± 13 cm, respectively.

Purpose: In the current clinical diagnostic process, the gold standard for lymph node metastasis (LNM) diagnosis is histopathological examination following surgical lymphadenectomy. Developing a non-invasive and preoperative method for predicting LNM is necessary and holds significant clinical importance.

Methods: We develop a ranking attention multiple instance learning (RA-MIL) model that integrates convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and ranking attention pooling to diagnose LNM from T2 MRI.

Background: Jinmudan (JMD) is a high-aroma variety widely cultivated in China. The current study primarily focuses on the key volatile metabolites in JMD black and oolong teas, and investigates the impact of processing technologies on the aroma quality of JMD tea. However, few studies have explored the suitability of JMD for producing a certain type of tea or the characteristic quality differences among various JMD teas using multivariate statistical analysis methods.

This paper investigates the impact of cognitive load on the formation and maintenance of cooperation within a public goods game experiment featuring a punishment option. By integrating the experimental designs of prior studies and manipulating cognitive load through the memorization of numbers with varying digits, we reveal that high cognitive load accelerates the breakdown of cooperation, irrespective of the presence of a punishment system. Furthermore, under high cognitive load, participants are more likely to engage in antisocial punishment, while the punishment of free riders remains unaffected.

Herein, we successfully synthesized a copper nanocluster, [Cu(SeCH)(Dppe)Se]. The Cu features a tetrahedral Cu core, surrounded by tetrahedral Se and octahedral Cu subunits, and further stabilized by CuSe, Cu(SeR), and DppeCu staples, which can be interpreted as an assembly of tetrahedral and octahedral units. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were employed to investigate the electronic structure of Cu.

Pseudomonas plecoglossicida is one of most important pathogenic bacterial species in large yellow croaker and several other commercially valuable fish species. In our previous study, a GacS deficient mutant (ΔgacS) was constructed and its virulence showed substantially attenuated. In present study, the safety, immunogenicity and protective effect of the ΔgacS were evaluated in large yellow croaker as a live-attenuated vaccine candidate.

Dual emission (DE) in nanoclusters (NCs) is considerably significant in the research and application of ratiometric sensing, bioimaging, and novel optoelectronic devices. Exploring the DE mechanism in open-shell NCs with doublet or quartet emissions remains challenging because synthesizing open-shell NCs is difficult due to their inherent instability. Here, we synthesize two dual-emissive MAg(PFBT)(TPP) (M = Pt, Pd; PFBT = pentafluorobenzenethiol; TPP = triphenylphosphine) NCs with a 7-electron open-shell configuration to reveal the DE mechanism.

  • Depression is increasingly recognized as a significant global psychological issue, with traditional detection methods criticized for their inefficiency and subjective nature.
  • A new framework called the Audio, Video, and Text Fusion-Three Branch Network (AVTF-TBN) integrates auditory, visual, and textual data for more accurate depression risk assessment through a multimodal approach.
  • Experimental results show that the AVTF-TBN model performs effectively in detecting depression risk, with metrics like F1 Score of 0.78, Precision of 0.76, and Recall of 0.81, highlighting the importance of sensor-based data in mental health evaluations.*
